Just out of interest, Ian, what sample rate and bit depth do you ask for clients to send you when you're mastering their work? Thanks.

I found this fascinating and really refreshing to hear these issue discussed in an open minded and evidence-based way.  (Could I be a bit cheeky and, in the context of the last show on mastering/mixing for Podcasts, suggest that the noise reduction for this one was a bit overdone - I kept thinking that something had cut out whenever there was a gap and it went totally silent! I personally prefer a bit of continuous background noise to keep a sense of continuity in the audio.)

Great to hear IM distortion a ctually get covered, IT usually gets sually it doesn't even get mentioned.

Very helpful guidelines for testing high sample rates; looking forward to trying this out.
