Phase linear EQ (eith natroe peakf n cuts)

I hate the processing that some radio stations use. They have the reference level far too high and end up crushing and distorting music with reasonable dynamics (PLR 11-12 range). It's a bit like the Spotify situation, but worse actually. Why can't these people just take advice from dudes like you? Who the hell makes these decisions for them..

Hang on. Don't cd's and dvd's (44.1Khz and 48Khz) have frequencies ranging from 20hz-20Khz, providing they haven't been through lossy encoding? I always thought that 44.1Khz was enough to capture 20hz-20Khz..?

That's interesting. You're talking about when you switch it from minimal phase to linear phase. I use that to cutout unwanted frequencies before the limiter. I normally use the analogue mode on the first eq for a more musical sound, apparently. You got me wondering!

This Mix was recorded Live at Love Camp Stage at the Winter Elements Dance Festival 2021 mixed by DJ Journeyman and MC on mic Duties MC Shureshock.
