The vocals only come in at the chorus, it's one to be listened too a couple of times. Probably one of my personal favourites , the chorus always sticks in me brain for a about a week! You wanna go back, but you cant. You wanna go forward but only your fears stop you. That's what this tunes about. Very personal.

An instrumental that was recorded after some of the most potent green I've ever come across. I had to keep playing non stop for 16 hrs just to keep it together. This was the result of that psychotic little charmer of a day. Chorus....close eyes and kinda think of flying with a jet pack on like. works for me. Enjoy folks, I enjoyed making it.

Here is a new version of "Under My Skin" ...many thanks to Jon Martin at both the helm and the keyboards. This song is an ode to my kids...it's about when relationships fall apart, and how you have and need to fight for your children. It aint their fault. This tune has done very well on the net in a previous version, this latest version is taken from our self titled new LP The Mental Straights, enjoy folks, bass player Ant's particular favourite! 6 and a half minutes of raw mayhem, bolstered by Mr Jon Martin on the keys, this is a song about the love of music...when you get a good tune in your head, when you feel inspired, to paste over the shite that the real world has to offer, its astrange world we live in these days. I have a chair. and it is indeed the musical place to be. This rips my throat to ribbons so always saved until the end of a show! Reflectorized

Grand opus version of "Black Rain",  recorded in one take with just a couple of overdubs, this was originally written in 1990 for our band of the time  (also Black Rain)now given the updated Mental Straights treatment. This is a song about how we should be going forward but so often live in the past, without considering the future. Something funny in the tin. Black Rain

I wrote this song about a holiday in the summer of '83, the words really sum up the memories, my kid sister had this beloved ball that she took everywhere with her, and then good old Billy Ray here lost it to the tide. Not sure she's actually forgiven me yet lol. Greetings to all, many thanks indeed to everyone supporting us, much appreciated as always!
