After serving up a vigorous taste of his garage-house approach on the highly successful Music Is Love VA earlier in the year, Jackmaster K is the latest artist from the MIL roster to continue the imprints in-house premise. With each EP the label release, they give us something different amid the infectious house they're building a reputation for. On MIL006 the Birmingham-based producer adds to the labels progressing status, with an EP that comes complete with two heavy-weight remixes from Liam Geddes and New Jack City.

At last, here we are! For the first release of our imprint we’re proud to present you an EP that perfectly represents our global vision of house music. For this occasion the eclectic producer Valerio Vaudano takes off his several aliases and gives us 4 different but complementary tracks exploring different soundscapes of the 4/4 electronic music: from house to techno, through deep and old school sonorities.
The A side starts with “I Can’t Forget That Gurl”, an enthralling 90s flavoured house track with a melancholy aftertaste. From there it continues with “Gimme A Slice Of Pepperoni”: an energetic tune contaminated by a cocktail of rave and garage samples. “Armani” (an homage to Robert, the godfather of techno) opens the B side: imagine an old school techno synth, a roaring 909, a saturated bassline and the game is done. “Wasabi” closes the EP with its romantic mood: a dream-house nearly downtempo track made of oniric pads and a smooth 707 to accompany it all – perfect to play as final song at sunrise, from first to last beat.

Arun Verone went In Session for us back in November last year and dished up an hour of chunky house rollers. Pumping and pounding: that's how he likes to play and the type of sound that's seen him dominate clubs throughout the UK in the last year or so. 

His productions aren't too different, either. 'If You Got It's is a bubbly bouncer, 'La La La (Hypedub Mix)' cuts deep and his remix of DJ Haus' 'Feel The Change Coming On' is a booming banger, nothing less.

It’s almost as if Techno is in Mark Reeve’s DNA. With the electronic pulses flowing through through his veins as the draw of the Techno Fatherland led Mark to settle in Germany, where he has since established his reputation on labels such as Cocoon, Drumcode, Bedrock, Soma and Trapez. A list that reads like the upper echelons of electronic music.

The natural extension of this journey was to start a label, called SubVision. SubVision has been quietly growing and maturing in approach, to reach this point - the launch of 'SubVision Various'. A forward thinking selection of all new cutting edge music where the SubVision roster grows to break new artists alongside established names at the top of their game. This diverse LP gives listeners and DJs a wide scope of options, as well as presenting an exciting snapshot of how the SubVision musical philosophy intends to grow.

Brothers Harvey and Ryan McKay return to Drumcode with their dynamic Alias project.

We were introduced to Alias last year when the McKay brothers dropped the impact-heavy ‘Visions’ EP mid-way through 2017. The duo followed with a lauded contribution for Drumcode Live and the buzz from fans was palpable. The follow up sees the pair in powerhouse form. 

The title track ‘NRG’ is an attitude-packed tour de force; compromised of aggressive snares, warped vocals and a tension-filled break, it has been smashed by Adam Beyer for the last six months. ‘Orange Sunshine’ pulls no punches as it dishes out apocalyptic acid paired with the sibling’s startling drum work. ‘The Event’ rounds out the EP and is an exhilarating affair propelled by uplifting synth lines and a buzzing energetic bassline.
