The Messengers of God - "A cross between Kilburn and the Highroads and Leonard Cohen” - are a five-piece band who play in the self-styled ‘Town and Country’ genre.

When challenged by Johny Brown of The Band of Holy Joy to form a band of his own, native South Londoner & lyricist Dave McGowan, did exactly that.
