Twelve Bars Intro

The Middle West is a music collective spearheaded by Columbus, OH resident Alex Girvin and includes a revolving door of talented musicians and audio engineers from all over the Midwest. Hence the name.

This project and the "collective" approach was born out of Alex's desire for a singular place to share music he creates with different friends in the Columbus area and the greater Midwest. He'll often start writing songs and then bring in a variety of people to help shape, perform, produce, and share them.
