The Molecule is the creation of long-standing Mint / Zutekh residents Bobby O’Donnell and Daniel Quixano Henriques. During their combined 25 years at their respective residencies, Daniel & Bobby have shared the decks with everyone from Villalobos, to Jeff Mills to Chez Damier as well as gigs every year at The Warehouse Project and Cocoon in the Park. Since collaborating a year ago and forming The Molecule, their first E.P is now ready for release, on Bobby's well regarded E-Numbers imprint.

Mixtape 7  2020 - Spiritual AF Mix

I was recently re-introuced to a long lost old recording of me warming up for Hector at Basics @ The Peephouse back in 2009 (Cheers Jonny!), and I thought seen as it's their 29th birthday this weekend it would be a fitting time to upload it for a bit of a trip down memory lane 🙂 Originally released as a shorter mix for Back To Basics Podcast 001, this is the full recording and goes through the transition from empty club to completely rammed and going off in proper Basics fashion! I always loved being able to kick off really deep/indulgent, and pick the pace up gradually as the club got busier. I had some of my favourite ever gigs at The Peephouse, there was nowhere else quite like it! 

Hopefully this will be a nice blast from the past for people anyway and bring back some memories of that era.  Very special times indeed! ❤️

This mix showcases the vibe and energy we are all about. A homage to the dance floor that we're all so desperate to return too . 

As i said before ,Adams to modest to have any input but this is such a good mix and it really does represent our Beatnik sound!

What a mix to bring us into double figures from Jonny Wren! We feel this series is gaining some serious momentum in quality and this is perfectly in keeping with this. Just over an hour of absolutely class cuts from Jonny mixed perfectly. 

One of them mixes that got us properly up for it when we first listened and we’re very thankful to the man for recording his first mix in 6 years for us. 

We miss the dance floor more and more every week, listening to tunes like this put together so well makes it a lot easier. 

On a side note, you should see the set up this was recorded on, it’s well naughty.
