Our Family Healthcare Series with Hackensack Meridian Children's Health continues with Suhas Ganguli, M.D., pediatric rheumatologist, from Hackensack Meridian K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in Neptune, NJ. Join us as we delve into discussion on arthritis in children, and how crucial vitamin D is for bone health. 

Dr. Ganguli is a board-certified pediatric rheumatologist specializing in diagnosing and managing a wide range of autoimmune, auto-inflammatory conditions including juvenile arthritis, systemic onset juvenile arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, dermatomyositis, periodic fever syndromes and COVID-19 related multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C), non-inflammatory musculoskeletal pain syndrome such as fibromyalgia.
Dr. Ganguli is trained to perform procedures, such as intra-articular injections of corticosteroids in various joints for arthritis.

Dr. Sunita Mann is a board certified physician who practiced Radiology for 13 years in Ocean County. In 2013, Dr. Mann had a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction while performing a procedure on a patient and realized that she would be unable to continue in her specialty without placing herself at risk for another event. After recovering from this near-death experience, she began the journey towards wellness and decided that her new-found knowledge could help others dealing with chronic diseases or general feeling of being unwell.  She began her certification in Functional Medicine and obtained training in Rejuvenation Medicine so she could offer these specialties and techniques to her patients.

Dr. Arumugam has vast experience in a wide range of inpatient and outpatient procedures. You will find Dr. Arumugam to be attentive, caring, kind, and knowledgeable in formulating a customized surgical plan that best suits each patient.

Prior to joining HMH, Dr. Arumugam has served many roles as a leader, researcher, and volunteer in the medical field. Dr. Arumugam has been an Instructor at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center Department of Surgery as well as an Assistant Professor at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. Dr. Arumugam has extensive research experience with a multitude of general surgical diseases, but her interests focus on improving outcomes after bariatric surgery. Her goal is to provide safe and excellent care for all of her patients while using the most up to date tools and techniques available. She is currently a member of many societies including the American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the Obesity Medicine Association.

In honor of Women's Health Month this May, we were thrilled to sit down with Dr. Stephanie Sansone of Hackensack Meridian Health. Listen in as we discuss pelvic and urogynecological health.

Stephanie A. Sansone, M.D., is a fellowship-trained obstetrician-gynecologist specializing in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. She is passionate about delivering evidence-based practices in all aspects of treatment for pelvic floor disorders. Beyond conservative management and in-office procedures for conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and overactive bladder, she is experienced in robotic, abdominal, and vaginal reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Sansone is thrilled to be practicing in New Jersey, where she grew up, to provide patient-centered care for her local community. Following her undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, she attended medical school at Weill Cornell. During her residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, she was inspired by how urogynecology improves her patients’ quality of life.  She is a graduate of the Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Fellowship at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. 

Dr. Sansone has presented at national meetings and written several publications within her field, receiving both research and teaching/mentorship awards for her work..  She is an affiliated member of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG).
