Who is and what is "The Mourning Coat"?

Simply put we are two Italian guys from the Naples region who have been listening to the music of some of the most genial, if somewhat undervalued, rock/pop artists of the last century.

Some of that stuff must have been rubbed off after all these years because after 30+ years of intense listening, out of the blue, we were hit by a creative streak and distilled most of our current output in a fever -- about 15 songs.

We are in the "rough mix" phase and we would like to immortalize this artistic output into an official release later this year, early 2014 top.

This page aims at connecting and engaging with an audience which, it is hoped, will also be able to foster critiques and be beneficial.

This is a labour of love and we two play every single thing you hear on the songs that will be published. It´s helluva lot of work and one we may not necessarily being the fittest for but as faith wants it: "we heard the call and we rose to the occasion".
