After talking and reconnecting with my friend Aiya, she, the good friend and sister she is, decided to write a song about me and about my trip back to my home island 🏝️ of Saipan after 24 years. I am forever grateful, truly honored, but a little perturbed that she did this on her own. I would have loved to have collaborated with her but as she warmly and insistently emphasized, this is her tribute song and gift to me from her, and I will not dare take her blessing by not accepting so I graciously accept. Here are the lyrics:
