Miami Vice is an American police procedural series from the 1980s. Michael Mann was the series' executive producer from 1984 to 1989.
The series was experimental and innovative for its time, with a unique style, particularly the music selection in the episodes, of which this one was one.

Public Image Ltd. is an English post-punk band formed in 1978 by vocalist John Lydon, guitarist Keith Levene, and bassist Jah Wobble. 
PiL is widely considered one of the most influential, innovative, and controversial bands of the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Nachdem er zum Sommer 2017 zur Bretterbude gestoßen ist, hat ihn die Motivation gepackt, mit Ende 20 doch noch mit dem Auflegen anzufangen. Mit einem Faible für Breaks, House, Elektro, IDM und verschiedenstem funky Zeug, wuchs die Plattensammlung auch Abseits der harten Klänge stetig.

Wenn Tracks irgendwas (kleines) verbindet, sind Genre-Grenzen egal. Ein gutes Stück schneller und härter wirds während seiner Sets aber meistens.

deutschland canceln | shutdown soundtracks was the very last event at ://about blank in 2020 - and erik jäähalli gave us this powerful live set as the most beautiful parting gift for a long winter which is still ahead of us all. 

with his live set, erik prepared us musically for the demolition of the garden dancefloor which took place that night - a touching and powerful moment for everyone around that night, reflecting on the fragility and transience of club culture in these times, where everything only appears as a faint reminiscence of what we used to know - but will hopefully become as powerful again as the music played that night.

In Leipzig gehört die Verhandlung von Themen wie die Geschlechtergleichberechtigung innerhalb der Clubkultur zum gängigen Diskurs, und kann als Teil des subkulturellen Selbstverständnisses verstanden werden. Eine große Anzahl feministischer Gruppen und Netzwerke sowie der Anspruch eines ausgeglichenen und diversen Bookings waren maßgeblich daran beteiligt, dass weibliche* DJ's in den letzten Jahren mehr Sichtbarkeit erlangten. Ein deutliches Ungleichgewicht bezüglich der Repräsentation von Frauen* lässt sich jedoch im Bereich der Musikproduktion beobachten. Hier sind es noch immer wenige, die eigene Musik produzieren und auf Labels veröffentlichen können. In dem Podcast gehen wir der Frage nach, welche Zugänge und Schwierigkeiten es für Frauen in der Sphäre der elektronischen Musikproduktion gibt. Dafür haben wir zwei Leipziger Produzentinnen zu ihren Erfahrungen interviewt: Charlotte, DJ, Produzentin und Mitbegründerin des feministischen Netzwerkes Feat. Fem sowie Lydia Eisenblätter, die als DJ, Produzentin und Labelbetreiberin tätig ist.

Dies ist ein Podcast von Emily Bandt und Carlotta Jacobi, der im Rahmen des Seminars "Sprechen. Hören. Denken. Leipziger Podcast-Ethnografie" am Institut für Kulturwissenschaften an der Uni Leipzig entstanden ist.

The next episode is contributed by Munich based Inspektor Lenny, who is a member of the Ritual Digital Crew (@ritual-digital). The group of selectors founded the collective a couple of years ago in Stuttgart, but recently started organizing parties in Munich as well, for instance at the mighty Harry Klein (@Harrykleinclub). Inspektor Lenny's musical focus reaches from italo disco and breakbeats to trancy sounds, basically everything which has a 90's flavour.

In his Mix he takes you back to a festival dancefloor during sunrise, when everybody was dancing the whole night and now keeps on vibing to soft and emotional, but also euphoric and driving grooves.
