Hyperdawn is the newest moniker from Salford based experimentalists Michael Cutting and Vitalija Glovackyte. Previously Kinder Meccano the duo have been gaining an international reputation for their patented process music incorporating reel tape recorders, modified keyboards, and homemade instruments. ‘Bleach’ takes all of the practiced physical, process-based aesthetic that revels in the imperfections of faltering hardware and adapts the technique towards a song-led presentation that is entirely new to Hyperdawn. Hints of verse-chorus structures are now apparent with the use of Vitalija’s voice as an essential introduction, pushing the duo’s distinctive rough grained instrumentals into a new level of poignancy.
