The MusiCollective is a community of people that get behind each others' projects, for example by helping with songwriting, arrangements, recording and production. TMC Records - April 2025 playlist

My first song written with open tuning (only C and G), really tapping into that fake-Celtic vibe. The lyrics came out of a pretty brutal songwriting challenge to write a verse or chorus a day for a month. 

I first released this a sometime at the start of the year, but just added some percussion and got rid of a clicking sound somewhere that was doing my head in.

You’re pulling my strings I’m all out of tune
There’s too many things you promise but never do
You say hope springs eternal but I’m turning turning around.

Verse 2
You’re hot and you’re cold and you throw 
Me right into your firepit like an old coal briquette
And you spark an inferno, and it’s burning, it burns me to the ground.

Chorus
And my ashes are everywhere now 
Gone with the wind, in the air all around
Is this the end, I’m wondering somehow
Or the beginning?

Verse 3
You watch me jump into the deep end while you’re 
In the shallow now where you feel so at home
Then you’re off for the weekend, leave me drowning, drowning alone.

I’m holding my breath hope you don’t have the nerve
To let me suffocate, pull me out before it’s too late
If you won’t I’ll relive this death over and over again

The rock bottom now, it’s comforting somehow, just one
