"The Muskrats" is a rock n' roll band based in  Los Angeles, California. The band eccentrically is defined as two bands in one which comprises of the live members and their virtual alter-egos(something similar to Gorillaz), "they are us and we are them" like the band likes to say.
  The members of the Band are: Nzephany Madrigal'Uzoka with alter-ego as Ziggy, Michael Marshall with alter-ego as Buttons, Chris Daniel Sanchez with alter-ego as Chez and finally Justin Charles Potter with alter-ego as Otter.
 The style of music is not generally specific to one genre but it could be interpreted as indie meets post punk revival with funky vibes/attitude, thrown in with a splash of reggae and psychedelia, which band manager Will Wynn as coined as an American/british style rock band.
 The bands influences come from mostly British Rock n' roll with such UK bands like: The libertines, Babyshambles, Arctic monkeys, Bloc party, The Kooks, The Wombats et cetera, while from the homestead, The Doors, The red hot chilli peppers and most profoundly, the Jimi Hendrix experience.
