I just found about you from your work with JAGEX for the Ace of Spades game from the description of one of the OST vids uploaded to YouTube I got redirected to the bandcamp page of this EP and under the label that sells the Vinyl. As we get ready for a busy summer, of spreading the sound of tomorrow across the globe, we can't help but take a step back and bring you all the feel good, forward thinking music you know and love from Soulection. This installment of our White Label series comes from 18 year old London composer, songwriter, guitarist, singer & violinist, Tom Misch. We felt the need to list all of this in the description, because each track is such an audio masterpiece. This one is for everyone, but true fans of Dilla, and smooth, mellow, R&B inspired hip-hop beats, will definitely enjoy this release.

"Basically this EP is me attempting to make instrumentals that will effect people moods in a positive way but also make people think, all produced and recorded by myself in my bedroom. This is a promo mix of my first exhibit, my debut release and my presentation of music that I want to share with the world. I’ve worked with London based producer Dave Pilcher (Naïve Machine, Prom Night, Eikon) to shape my sound incorporating my soulful, Congolese, and Zambian zest, with his quirky electronic sounds. The EP begins with a song that highlights freedom, which is a constant theme that runs throughout; then ending with a song about loving who you are, which is another important theme in my life.

Naive, also know as Dave Pilcher was born in the States in a backward town near Tulsa, Oklahoma, although at the age of one his parents moved over to the UK near Brighton where he picked up his love for music.

After years of producing beats for the countries best emcees and his crew Tactical Thinking, Naive has stepped out of the shadows to form the new Naive Machine project. To let the instrumentals take centre stage while retaining the cut-and-paste aesthetic developed from a lifetime of crate digging and sampling, the new project showcases a more synthesized, electronic sound.

Having already supported the likes of Machinedrum, Afrika Hitech, Eskmo, Slugabed and more the new Naive Machine live show is ready to step up. Plus  composing for the Ace of Spades computer game and also for a Guinness advert - Keep them ears pealed and them eyes sharp!
