It's ok.. It took me years to write this song. I lost a friend a long time and it wrecked me for a while. God healed my heart. It's ok to breakdown though. We are always shedding the old. A traumatic process indeed. All things grow under tension. If you're reading this keep growing. The fruits are going to be sweet and amazing. <3

I have a proclivity to the awe-inspiring. This has been a huge influence in my life. This song was my attempt to embody the feeling that goes with discovery and mystery. I hope you enjoy it.

Thank you Josh Lewiciki for your beautiful trumpet playing. You've reminded me how efficient it is to pull that pen out and write a score. It's been a while but I look forward to doing more composing in this way. Thank you Luke Dunn for flowing so beautifully on your guitar in between all the notes. This goodbye song was a long time in the making for me. Many renditions were thrown away until I came to this one which was most satisfying. It was only right to invite masterful Opera singer Michelle Moughton to be a part of this. I am so thankful for you friendship Michelle and am excited for what we will musically explore next.

17. The Going(with Michelle Moughton)

This is a project that I've been working on for the past year. I aspired to create a project that was far more minimal than I usually do. I wanted more emphasis to be on the vocal and the music. This minimalism allowed me to be more intentional with some of the musical choices. I entitled the project Nathan because the songs here are the closet expression of who I am(sonically) that I could show. This is part one as part two is still in production. I have a lot planned for the next project and hope you enjoy this journey. Song titles are acronyms. Take a swing at what you think the songs are called. :) If you're right about them all there will be a reward!
