I really connected with Loop 12 in the Genesis I drop for Boho Bones. I immediately heard the rhythm in my head for a drum & bass track and built it up from there.

My goal with this mix was to rebuild the song from the ground up as a Drum & Bass track, based on the amazing vocals and melodic hook. There's a hint of synthwave influence as well.

I built this Liquid Drum & Bass remix around the piano riff from the breakdown in the original track. The combination of the jazzy feel from those chords along with some retro-sounding synths make this track lots of fun to chill out to.

After his remix of "Cut Me Down" by Sasha was chosen as one of the Top 14 Finalists for the 2011 Burn Studios Remix Contest, Theneverafter was invited to a week-long Producer Boot Camp in Ibiza. While in Spain, he had the opportunity to meet and learn from electronic music legends Sasha, Richie Hawtin and Philippe Zdar (RIP).
