Classical music: start with this

This is a bit different from my usual 'style', whatever that is :-), but I felt inspired by a dear friend, Milco Huisman [a brilliant and talented flute player], and said that I would try to create a piece whilst I have lost partial hearing [temporary we hope!], and see what the outcome was. This is it. I can 'hear' it, but only just enough to know the feeling I wanted to convey, though not even sure if I did this

I played by feeling more than hearing and just 'prayed' that volumes, mixing and sounds were ok, LOL

So a BIG Thank You Milco! :-)

(and also for the wonderful support from Erik Tavis [Melotone], Ian Gray [The Subwave Network, UK], Miles [Strange Meat] and of course John Styles [OneVision CrossWorlds], who have also offered to help out,  while I either adapt to this hearing impairment, or get it back - thank you so much, and others, too many to mention!) :-)

Composition Notes:
Over the past year I've been listening a lot and learning how to play music by Bach. My piece "Memory Invention" takes a similar progression as some of his keyboard works and adds strings to it. The two alternate versions couple this with the idea of how what we remember about an event changes and can even deteriorate over time.

Abstraktes #7 continues my series of solo piano music exploring the line between improvisation and composition.

Dear listeners
I'm so excited to present this. My journey as a musician more or less started with the song "Distant Memory" so it felt natural to name the album the same. This is an album that represents the times when you suddenly feel like you can reach the sky, the warrior within breaching out, the cherishing times and the bumps on the road, the grasping fear and the leaps of faith... 
This album has been both a blessing and a struggle. I guess it's normal as you move forward and then look back you find things you would do differently. So I put effort in remaking some songs which I hope you will appreciate. I think it has been a nice way to work since I can upload each month, improve for the final upload and let you guys be a part of the whole journey.
The future is not crystal clear at the moment. I'm very curious to explore new areas and use more instruments in my future music. We'll see what happens and I welcome you all onboard for the next chapter.
