I know very little about mixing. If you read any of this and think "that's an awful technique, only an idiot would do that", tell me, it'd be hugely appreciated.

Also, I just noticed how much bass it has. I blame my unusually bright headphones.


DRUMS:
Parallel-compression and reverb on the snare, wide boost at 7700 hz, scoops at 500 and 3500
More parallel compression on kick, thin little boost at 60 hz, big fuck-off scoops at 250, 10500 and 3000
Reverb on hat
Compression on toms, boosts at 200, 1100 and 3000, big scoop at 5000
Hi pass on overheads at 500 hz, wide shallow scoop at 3000
Big scoops on room mic at 350 and 650, boost at 10,000 hz
More parallel compression on drum bus - Density mkII, "Punch" preset, about 50% wet

BASS
Onqel's TSE BOD, compression
Thin cut at 60hz to make way for kick, boost at 1500 for presence, wide scoop at 300

No pitch correction, I think lead vocals stick out from the rest of the mix enough for slight out-of-tune-ness to be okay

BACKING VOCALS
Panned hard left and right
Izotope Nectar again, this time with pitch correction turned on
Big scoop in the low mids, boosts in highs

In some places I preferred the backing vocal to the lead, so I turned the lead down and backing up more than usual
I didn't like the backing vocals at all in the "bright lights that..." part, so got rid of them

SPECIFIC PARTS/SELF INDULGENT WANKERY
Turned the room mic up in the intro to make the toms sound bigger
Screamy intro vocal used Acmebargig's Tamla Head for distortion, Izotope Vinyl, Line 6 Digital Delay on most of it, and Line 6 Analog Delay on the final syllable only, because I liked the odd sparkly noise it made
I also copied and pasted the resulting sparkly noise into a later quiet section, because Devin Townsend did it in Universe In A Ball
The nice little fade in at 1:12 is the line 6 stereo delay on the guitars (which has been going in the background the whole time) being gradually turned up
The effect on the guitar at 1:32 is Cinematic Verb's "thin walls" setting, with the "muffle" knob being gradually turned down
The vocals at 1:54 are completely dry except for Cinematic Verb to add some more realistic low end
The staccato heavy bit at 1:58 has a compressor on the master bus, just for that section, to make it stick out more
I also put a distorted vocal (Line 6 Tube Drive) in the background during the heavy staccato bit. I was trying to rip off 21st Century Schizoid Man.
