The New Shoes are an Indie band from Portsmouth, renowned for their catchy melodic tunes and raucous live performances.After winning Portsmouth Original Artist of the Year 2018, TNS began recording and releasing their tracks with Mayfield Studios. Their debut release of ‘Little Racket’ in January 2019 was well received and featured on the February edition of The Unsigned Guides Spotlight. The follow up single ‘Self Obsessed Me’ earned TNS their national radio debut, played by Janice Long on BBC Radio Wales in July 2019.They're an exciting & high energy live act, sharing the bill with the likes of Dutch Criminal Record, Heavy Lungs and Rascalton on their UK tours. The New Shoes appeared at Icebreaker Festival in early 2019 followed by Victorious Festival in August alongside the likes of The Hives, Republica and The Vaccines. They performed at Southsea Pier Festival 2019 and have been back in the studio for their 4th single to be released in March 2020.
