Blind-EMS

This track was recorded in Lille (France) in 2019, and is all guitar, no synths. It's probably the track I finished most quickly - ever. Usually I keep on editing and adding or removing things, but everything came together very smoothly. A day, a day and a half, and it was done. Released on the album Organised Sounds last summer (2024).

New Horizons II (short)

Extended version of New Horizons II. I've been struggling with this track for a very very long time. Like, years. I have a good demo version (https://soundcloud.com/thenextcommuter/new-horizons-ii-short), but it is too short. I had difficulties making this into a full track, but in the end I got something that sounds the way I want it. Enjoy!!

LE1 (demo/W.I.P.)

This is a rough version of a track I'm working on, which will be on my new album (no name yet). I'm hoping to release the album end of 2025, beginning 2026 (if the world of men will still exist :D). Still a lot of work on this track, and the album as a whole. Figured it would be nice to share with you guys already, as a work in progress. Let me know what you think, all input is appreciated!!

Another track from the album I'm working on. It started as a series of timestretched field recordings to which I added layers of guitar. I ended up ditching all of the timestretched sounds, wasn't pleased with it, but I'm happy how that decision turned out. Still some polishing to do, maybe adding some things here and there, and of course it isn't mixed yet - nor mastered. Let me know what you think!

Pink Lines (w.i.p.)

A very old one! I didn't have a loop pedal, so used my trusted Behringer delay unit on very long repeats/feedback settings to create layers and layers of sounds, drones, melody,... to create this wall of sound - with some chaos in the middle!

This is an old demo i found while I was cleaning out some old project maps. At the time I wasn't too happy about it I guess, because I forgot all about it and it collected digital dust for a couple of years. Now I actually quite like it. So I'm uploading it for you guys to have a listen and tell me what you think. I'm going to work some more on this one, see where it takes me.

Browsing through some old files I found a couple of recordings from some live sets in a distant past. Very distant. 2013 to be more precise. This was from a birthday-party for a friend. I remember that evening, it was great! I recorded some parts of the show, this is the intro.

Work in progress. I'm slowly progressing on my new album. This track started with an intense drone and bass-part, but so many verions later I think all of the original stems are left out, and replaced by these slightly distorted reverb guitar parts. Still some work to do on this one, but I like where it is going!

Another work in progress. All guitar, delay, reverb and a bit of looping going on. I'm not sure if I'll keep it this minimal, or go on and expand on this.

Another work in progress. I took a live recording with a little melody around the B-chord as starting point. I'm not sure where it's heading, but I kinda like it.

Another work in progress! I've got the feeling I'm almost there with this track, but not quite. Maybe it needs something more. Or maybe something less.

Recorded during a Slow Reading session at the public library in Brugge (Belgium), where people joined to read and listen to my live ambient set. I had a great time!

Quite fitting for International Women's Day (the track was first uploaded on soundcloud (08/03), the speech is from Amelia Earhart, a great pilot from in between the two world wars. She talks about the benefits from technological advances, especially for women - fitting in the (overly?) positive view on progress of mankind of those times. Only a couple of years later, mankind would show that technology could be used for far less innocent purposes...
