With Volume 2 already in the pipeline we are very pleased to premier Monsieur Van Pratt's Sax Factor from Vision of Love EP 1. The EP also features heat from Musta, The Velvet Stripes and Voyager 909. Originally penciled in for earlier in the year the vinyl hold ups have put this one back but it's well worth the wait landing now at the start of November. LA's Lady Blackbird has just released her debut album Black Acid Soul and it's a smokey vocal jazz edged masterpiece where Lady Blackbird simply pours out the feelings, thoughts and sensations accrued across her lifetime via a selection of songs which quite simply captive from the first note to the last.

Taken from the album 'Lost and looking' is sparse and evocative cover of Sam Cook's original track, with it's deft keys and haunting vocal delivery it's one of the stand out tracks from the album. 

Our premier today see's Cosmodelica's @colleen-cosmo-murphy take on the remix duties for @foundation-m-p and flip the track into a throbbing powerhouse of a club track replete with funky guitar licks, laser synth stabs and acidic edges. All round this is a pretty incredible piece of work which takes this fabulous artist straight to dancefloor.

Kampana's debut release was a global hit across the house, disco and tropical scene, with support from heavyweights such as Francois K, Soul Clap and Gilles Peterson.

The label is back just in time for summer with three more doses of peak time fire from Aroop Roy, who has gained a fine reputation for the quality and widespread appeal of his releases.

‘You Say' is a funk-fuelled number with gritty retro vocals and guitar, driven by a warm disco groove and 80s arp-synth. The feel-good vibes gradually build into an anthemic floor-filling climax.

‘Taj Mahal' reworks a Brazilian classic into a full on house workout, reminiscent of Roy's popular series on Gamm.

‘Mapora' is an original number that will blend well into both deep house and afro-centric sets. The track builds nicely with filtered samples and syncopated vocals, coming in with an infectious highlife guitar line and late night synth stabs, to get mind and body moving.

We now welcome back to the label our Argentinian star and uprising talented producer 'Alexny' with a brand new 4 tracker EP digging deep into a vast variety of musical roots adding a modern touch to it. To open this incredible journey 'I Believe' comes in the form of a classic disco cut with a housey drum ensemble and fresh guitar riffs attached to the groove making it perfect as an opener track for any occasion. For our second stop 'Diggin' Roots' arrives with an exceptional funky groove, cheerful vocals and outstanding flute solos bringing us back to the 70s. Right next to it 'Tamanqueiro' takes us all the way to South America with an exotic Brazilian-boogie blend consisting in traditional cuicas and congas for the rhythm section. To finish this incredible trip we cross the Atlantic Ocean all the way to Cameroon with 'Sekele Movement' as a tribute to the funk master Pasteur Lappe. Enjoy !!
