Building on the international buzz of The Six, this emerging duo is carving their own space in Toronto’s soundscape. Blending hip hop cadences, ambient beats, and pop hooks, THENWHEN captures the urban-electronic current of the city. 

Featuring a collaboration between solo artists Prince James and Petar, THENWHEN gained local attention and underground traction in early 2017. Working with Juno-nominated producer Ari Rhodes, the group combines the diverse sounds of the places they’ve been into a futuristic vision of where they want to be. Their first single, “Love Me Later,” bridges the sounds of hip hop, R&B, and electronic chill, and gained them coveted spots on Spotify-curated playlists (R&B Right Now, Just Vibing, Release Radar, Discover Weekly, Canada Viral 50). With the support of several radio stations (Vibe 105 and 93.5 The Move) and music blogs (Hip Hop Canada, Made In Toronto, and EARMILK), THENWHEN is solidifying their place as artists to keep an eye on in 2019. 

As for the future, the premiere of THENWHEN’s EP, Move, should be on your radar. Fusing the chill pop vibes of “Love Me Later” with the dark ambience of their second single, “Run,” this duo embodies the cutting-edge ethos driving Toronto’s iconic sound: if not now, THENWHEN.
