We are super excited to present the 77th podcast featuring an hour of serious grooves from Confusion!

Confusion is a Heidelberg-based producer and resident DJ of the Raserei collective. He is shaping the regional techno sound in recent years, especially in Mannheim, where the collective hosted multiple events with well-respected bookings. The focus shifted in the last years to producing minimalistic and groovy techno cuts, which resulted in releases on labels such as Berlin-based label SYXT besides some self-releases, remixes, and Various Artist appearances on labels like Schimmer Records or SOPTIK.

Duplicity 077 | Confusion

Born and raised in southern Italy, Jacom is an emerging techno DJ and producer based in
Zurich. In 2006, he fully dedicated himself to electronic music, which quickly brought him
behind the decks. When he moved to Zurich in 2012, his career took an exponential
upswing. 2016 the talented Italian became a member of the renowned label Adroit and has
been an integral part of the collective ever since. In addition to numerous performances in
Italy (e.g. Amnesia Milano, Cosmic Festival) and throughout Switzerland, Jacom has also
demonstrated his skills in other European countries. Thus, Berlin is also one of his
achievements, where he played in well-known venues such as Anomalie, Aeden or About
Blank.
Jacom is characterized by his groovy and hypnotic sets, which is reflected in his productions. The latest EP "Mind" (with remixes by Kaiser and Vsk) hit immediately and received support
from notable artists like Richie Hawtin, Joseph Capriati or Perc. Jacom still has a lot of big things in his pipeline, so be sure to keep an eye on him!

Embarking on their 17th sonic sojourn shrouded in enigmatic allure and veiled in mystery, Observant presents the debut release of sr² — a purposeful new moniker of a well-known figure in the techno circuit since 2007. 
Formed to direct attention exclusively to music, eschewing the distractions of self-presentation, personality, and persona, it stands as an cryptic entity, a calculated construct devoted to the core of artistic expression.

This Leipzig-based producer presents three originals with a muscular onslaught advocated through all his years of experience producing, teaching, and running a record label. 
Further fortifying this release are two prodigious remixers, MSDMNR and Oxygeno, based in Berlin (DE) and Lugo (ES) respectively, packing that cutting-edge ballistics and unapologetic sophistication to temper techno’s thriving contemporary.

In the realm of remixes, MSDMNR’s version of 'Geschlossene Räume' unveils cinematic sci-fi allure from the get-go, consistently keeping the original synth loop in focus, contrasted by the drum programming. 
Reimagining those textural layers from 'Zugmaschine' into his auditory kaleidoscope, Oxygeno spews a synthetic brew of articulated noises that swirl and throb over rippling kick drums and subs.
