It was a rainy night in London and I was watching a film called “Thoroughbreds”, the movie was great and the soundtracks blow mind. At some point, Tanya’s Tagaq Uja played and then I had to pause the film and check what exactly I’m listening to. I couldn’t help it, I had to play this crazy thing in a set somehow and I did. I used it as sound tool on many of sets, but every time in a different way. Then I decided to make an edit that I could share with all of you. As we approach the end of the year I wanted to shine a light on one London artist who has already done so much for the scene and it’s community. Please welcome, Theo Komp.

Real name, Theofanis Kosmopoulos has been a leading figure in the London’s Underground scene for almost a Decade now. With his Minimal force party’s allowing artist's based on their talent and not the hype.
A chance to perform, release and be apart of their fantastic community. Theo is someone I would consider myself as a purist and a true lover of the music and it’s scene.

He also manages a pretty impressive career for himself doing what he loves and still does to this day. Whether that be Teaching music production or playing Gigs himself he makes it very clear that that music is his only passion.

On tonight’s episode I find out about Theo’s introduction to Electronic music. What made him consider teaching. And what the real drive is behind his own weekly minimal force showcases.

Theo Komp's "IF" is a tribute to one of the greatest Greek voices of the 60's. It is a groovy track with summer vibes that makes you follow the rhythm. The original track "An S'arnitho agapi mou" sang by Tzeni Vanou was released in 1965 and till now is a very popular track.
The lyrics in English are: If I deny you my love, may a great evil befall me. May the sky forsake me, may I see the sun black.
Theo Komp used samples from this track and created a fresh tech-house interpretation of it with tribal elements and many percussions. 
It will be out for free on the 19th April 2014 with the support of Minimal Force.

Most of the times I simple use the originals but other times I have to edit them before, so I end up with a tool / Edit that is more handy for me to use. Elektrotribe Records: We are starting 2021 more motivated than ever as we will celebrate this summer the 15 anniversary of the label. As an opener of this special year, we have worked on a collaboration Ep between Nick Zafiriades, Theo Komp and Moog Conspiracy. The 2 tracks Pita & Se Ligo has been composed by the 3 artists during multiple studio sessions in Greece and London starting in summer 2017. The release comes with an extra edit made in Berlin by Moog Conspiracy.
