Hier kommt mein Mitschnitt vom Fusion Festival 2022 auf der epischen Tanzwüste von Donnerstag auf Freitag 00 bis 02 Uhr. Bei Minute 10:22 merkt ihr vielleicht, dass der Track auf einmal ganz aufgeregt war und am liebsten davongaloppiert wäre. Kaufmann brings her trademark fusion of dark minimal and bouncy techno to Senso Sounds once again with the Ibu 3000 EP. The track is a full throttle techno monster with hard-as-nails drums and equally matched bassline, synth stabs and effects. The track is also presented here via an additional remix by label mate Metodi Hristov which adds another level of tension to the original, bringing out some of the more progressive elements of the track. Kaufmann also shares another original cut, Snorkel Combat, which is a tightly wound bomb that slowly builds the tension across its 7 minutes for maximum dancefloor effect.

Mit ihrer unverkennbaren Mischung aus hypnotischem Techno, düsterem Minimal und spacigen Psy-Elementen hat Kaufmann in den vergangenen Jahren den Sprung unter die gefragtesten Berliner DJs geschafft. An den Decks erzählt sie Mal für Mal eine kompromisslose Geschichte, die sie selbst gerne hören würde, wenn sie gerade nicht hinter den Reglern stünde. Seit gut vier Jahren releast sie selbst Musik und veröffentlichte erfolgreich auf Top-Labels wie Stil vor Talent, Alulua oder ihrer Hamburger Homebase Senso Sound von Oliver Huntemann. Mit jedem Knaller-Track wird ihr Tourplan ein wenig voller, im Frühjahr stehen beispiesweise Gigs in Costa Rica und eine Australien-Tour auf dem Programm.

Wer mich etwas kennt … weiß das ich auch ein ganz großer Ambient-Fan bin … eine ganz besondere Spielart der elektronische Musik und weit darüber hinaus. 

Ich habe diesmal etwas länger suchen müssen, um eine Künstler zu finden der für meine kleine „We Are At Home“ Reihe ein Ambiet-Set beisteuert. Mark war aber von der Idee sofort total begeistert und in seinem Garten-Refugium in Kopenhagen langen an der Selection gearbeitet.

Mit diesen Worten habe ich den Mix bekommen … ich denke es ist nix hinzuzufügen:

„I have made an ambient podcast consisting primarily of music from friends of mine. It has turned into something very emotional for me, and I got tears in my eyes while listening this morning. 

My focus has been on telling a story throughout the podcast with the musical selections and with the assistance of Mr. Alan Watt’s vocal.

The story reflects in many ways things I’ve lived and learned throughout the last 3 years of my life. Because of this I have titled the mix ‘reflections’."

Das Cover hat Marc übrigens selbst gemacht und da es so gut zum Thema passt haben wir diesmal auf den Rahmen verzichtet … da es so ein Gesamtkunstwerk ist.
