Celle-ci c’est une pièce que j'ai réalisé pour les musiques de l'oeuvre teatrale "Bonne nuit Desdemona (Bonjour Juliette)" (de Ann-Marie MacDonald), allée en scène dans le Février passé 2011 à Rome. La scène se déroule dans une crypte d'un cimetière dans lequel nous sentons les présences qui vivent dans ce lieu. Quoique, en réalité, soit une scène grotesque, l'atmosphère résulte décidément sombre, lugubre et épouvantable.

This is a piece that I have realized for musics of the theatrical work "Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet) " (by Ann-Marie MacDonald), that has been performed last February 2011 in Rome. The scene is carried out in a crypt of a cemetery in which we feel the presences that live in that place. Although, in reality, it is a grotesque scene, the atmosphere decidedly turns out gloomy, dismal and frightful.

Questo è un brano che io ho realizzato per le musiche dell’opera teatrale "Buonanotte Desdemona (Buongiorno Giulietta)" (di Ann-Marie MacDonald), andata in scena nello scorso Febbraio 2011 a Roma. La scena si svolge nella cripta di un cimitero in cui sentiamo le presenze che vivono in quel luogo. Sebbene, in realtà, sia una scena grottesca, l'atmosfera risulta decisamente tetra, lugubre e spaventosa.

Le thème est proposé dans les scènes d'Othello dans lesquelles on respire une atmosphère de jalousie et suspecte, sombre et angoissant jusqu'à un dramatique épilogue.

This is a piece that I have realized for musics of the theatrical work "Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet) " (by Ann-Marie MacDonald).
The theme is proposed in the scenes of Othello in which we breathes an atmosphere of jealousy and suspicion, dark and distressing till a dramatic epilogue.

Questo è un brano che io ho realizzato per le musiche dell’opera teatrale "Buonanotte Desdemona (Buongiorno Giulietta)" (di Ann-Marie MacDonald).
Il tema viene proposto nelle scene di Otello in cui respiriamo una atmosfera di gelosia e sospetto, cupa e angosciante fino ad un drammatico epilogo.

Une des mes musiques pour l'oeuvre teatrale "Bonne nuit Desdemona…"(A.M. MacDonald)
Le thème est proposé dans les scènes de la Place du Marché dans lequel on sent des voix de différente provenance qui dialoguent entre eux ou qui hurlent et se superpose. Il se déroule à Vérone mais on sent des influences qu'ils vont de la méditerranée à l'orient lointain et ils se fondent dans un intéressant mélange.

The theme is proposed in the scenes of the Market Square in which we hear the voices of various origin that talk to each other or they scream and overlap. It is carried out in Verona but we feel infuences that go from the mediterranean to the far east and they melt in an interesting mixture.

Il tema viene proposto nelle scene della Piazza del Mercato in cui si sentono delle voci di diversa provenienza che dialogano tra loro o urlano e si sovrappongono. Si svolge a Verona ma si sentono influenze che vanno dal mediterraneo al lontano oriente e si fondono in una interessante miscela.

Une des mes musiques pour "Bonne nuit Desdemona…" (vois “Cripta”, “Otello”, “Market Place”). Celui-ci c’est l'épilogue: la protagoniste, Costanza, trouve soi même et la solution de son énigme.

One of my musics for "Goodnight Desdemona…" (see  “Cripta”, “Otello”, “Market Place”). This is the epilogue: the protagonist, Costanza, finds herself and the solution of her enigma.

the birth - Puro Aire - Live at "Music from all the World" Festival - Grottaferrata, Rome - 11 August 2011.

With the participation of the percussionists from Senegal "les Tambours de Gorées".

The performance lasted about two hours, was completely improvised and based on the interplay of musicians; 
the majority of them met for the first time and only agreed on the mood and the path of the program. 
There were alternate musics arising from the different experiences of each musician with an unexpected wealth. 
The final result, in addition to reaching certain levels in terms of music, has been a long journey and a happening extremely suggestive.

La performance, durata circa due ore, è stata completamente improvisata e basata sull'interplay dei musicisti, la maggioranza dei quali si incontravano per la prima volta e hanno concordato solo il mood ed il percorso del programma.
Si sono alternate musiche derivanti dalle diverse esperienze di ciascun musicista con una ricchezza inaspettata. 
Il risultato finale, oltre ad aver raggiunto determinati livelli sul piano musicale, è stato quello di un lungo viaggio ed un happening estremamente suggestivo.

Theo Allegretti, pianist, composer and improviser, is placed in the context of contemporary ambient-jazz, seeking a personal language through the hybridation and reworking of several musical forms as, among others, ambient, minimal and world music.
 
He began studying classical and jazz music on guitar and piano and then finally he devoted himself to the jazz piano, specializing with contemporary jazz masters as Giorgio Gaslini, Enrico Pieranunzi and Gianni Lenoci. His overall musical training is done through an atypical and unsystematic approach and his artistic maturation is the result of a very personal path.
 
Over the years, he engages in collaborations and compositions of various kinds, creating jingles, arrangements, music for radio, television and theatre, performing in solo (featuring atypical usage and preparation of the piano and its rarefied and poetic atmospheres, sometimes of eastern flavour), recitals of poetry and theatre-music, in a variety of ensembles, as well as the contamination of other arts.
 
(…) That of Theo Allegretti is not easily placeable musicality, which is affected by various influences (…). Improvisation mode and instinctive approach, now less intelligible and at times more melodic, looking for evocative sounds avoiding technicalities, achieving a sort of spiritual expressionism emancipated from more conventional jazz styles as those more ”free”. Matteo Allegretti (Aka Theo Allegretti "sondalma"), pianista, compositore ed improvvisatore, si colloca nel contesto dell'ambient-jazz contemporaneo, ricercando un linguaggio personale attraverso l’ibridazione e la rielaborazione di diverse musiche come, tra le altre, l’ambient, la minimale e l’etnica. 

Inizia a studiare musica classica e jazz alla chitarra e al pianoforte, per poi dedicarsi definitivamente al piano jazz, perfezionandosi con maestri del jazz contemporaneo come Giorgio Gaslini, Enrico Pieranunzi e Gianni Lenoci. La sua complessiva formazione musicale avviene attraverso un approccio atipico e asistematico e la sua maturazione artistica è frutto di un percorso del tutto personale. 

Nel corso degli anni si cimenta in collaborazioni e composizioni di vario genere, realizzando jingles pubblicitari, arrangiamenti, musiche per radio-tv e teatro, esibendosi in solo (caratterizzandosi per l’uso atipico e preparato del piano e le sue atmosfere rarefatte e poetiche, a tratti di sapore orientale), in recital di poesia e teatro-musica, in diversi ensemble, nonché con la contaminazione di altre arti.

"(…) Musicalità non facilmente collocabile, quella di Matteo Allegretti, che risente di diverse influenze (…). Approccio di modalità improvvisativa-istintiva, ora meno intellegibile ed a momenti più melodica, alla ricerca di sonorità evocative rifuggenti da tecnicismi, sostanziandosi in una sorta di espressionismo spirituale affrancato da stilemi jazz più convenzionali come quelli del “free” più spinto.
