soundtrack for those who are undecided and who would rather like to

In his two original tracks, our long-time companion draws the listener
under his spell with a unique sound design, characterized by dreamy
melodies, driving basslines and subtle sound elements. Planet Caravan,
Hvitling, apaj and Ykonosh breathed their own life into the tracks in
an extremely creative way, giving it a distinctive personal tone.

Therefore we want to thank all artists involved for their great work,

Francis Bebey’s Prière à Shango is a hypnotic, ritualistic track that blends traditional African rhythms with an experimental electronic edge. The song revolves around a repetitive, trance-inducing percussion loop, layered with Bebey’s signature thumb piano (sanza) melodies and a bamboo flute, delivery that feels both prayerful and commanding. Legendary George Michael passed on to the next life, sadly, on Christmas Day. I was never really a "die hard" fan, but his song "Faith" was definitely one of my favorites, and I played it countless times back in the days. I made this remix as a tribute to him, on a 5 hour flight to Mexico, before my New Year's Eve gig in Tulum. I played it everywhere I could for 3 weeks, and the response was amazing. 

2016 was a heavy year for losing so many musical legends, while at the same time, it was personally my best year to date. I'm eternally grateful for all the love and support I received, and wanted to show my appreciation. 

This remix is for all of YOU out there who have supported me over the years, and especially to those who have been supporting Sol Selectas Records. For now it is FREE. Thank You again, and best wishes for 2017. ~ Sabo

A prolific output of music, including three Albums, have been released through labels including Sol Selectas, Beat & Path, Eskimo Recordings & Sofa Beats as well as his own label Smash Bang.
In 2023 the Oddness was nominated for best electronic work at the Victorian Music Awards for his track Let it Move featuring the amazing vocals of Ellika.
As well as his original music he is widely know for his re-interpretations of
classic tracks though his ‘Reworks, Edits and Bootlegs’ series.
