On February 1st, more than 100 police officers from six departments waged an all out assault on unarmed protestors at the Wegmans in Johnson City. 
Wegmans management locked the doors and gave the order for police to descend upon the crowd.
15 individuals were arrested—between the ages of 17 and 71—myself and Passionn included. 
The army of police officers (complete with K-9 attack dogs) physically attacked protestors and deployed pepper spray into the small crowd; injuring participants, bystanders, and journalists alike.  
The protestors were there to highlight several recent incidents of police brutality, including the police killing of Tyre Nichols, and to test the validity of Wegmans' claim to “stand with the Black community in condemning racial injustice of any kind, and have zero tolerance for racial discrimination."
Wegmans issued 2-year bans to everyone taken into custody. Several arrestees are currently facing jail time.
