Over 500 submissions boiled down to one solid 5-track release anyone can feel good about. The winner is a winding, effects-heavy minimal rendition from French producer Drux. Argentian youngster Hernan Portillo adds a subtle, uplifting pad progression to a stripped down mix. Guessbeats & Kidmalone turn in a club-bomb that fits in well with Turbo's recent warehouse series. Mexican's Sonido Fantasma bring melodic multi culti funk to the party. Finally, UK based Kane West delivers a MIDI-riffic remix, beginning with 2 minutes of free-jazz that sounds like the theme to Seinfeld (takes balls) before dropping a seriously dope groove we can all agree on. With remix contests this good, everyone wins.

This is the live performance of "Flash Of Light" recorded at the May 15th 2022 concert in Berlin's Columbia Halle. The song was originally written and recorded with Luca C & Brigante in 2012, and this recording marks the song's 10th year anniversary.

Pablo Bolívar releases, on his own label  Seven Villas Music, a new compilation album - called “The Obscure Figure”- which contains 5 new and exclusive tracks: ‘Probably never’, ‘Cleaning the sky’, ‘Leaves without shadows feat. Upercent’, ‘Void’ and ‘Vacumn’. The rest of the tracklist is comprised of 'Frequency', 'Black mamba', 'Vibrations', 'The spark' & 'Escape from galaxy five feat. Dosem'. In this record, as we have already mentioned, two Spanish electronic talents have actively collaborated: Upercent, from Valencia and Dosem, from Girona. Moreover, both of them get out of their usual  sound comfort zone in order to give Bolívar what he asked for: introspective, dark and emotional risk, which would make us fly awake, with our feet pinned to the sky. 

'The obscure figure' is a choral work in which the producer from Cantabria takes a chance on futuristic, sensitive and abyssal electronics. It is as deep, minimalistic and ambient as is intelligent and sophisticatedly clubbing when required. We are facing a record which seeks for, overall,  auditory dreaminess, which craves for the listener’s reaction to the impact, or the cuddle from every beat on their inside. Pablo’s production is meticulous, velvety, it seems perfectly tempered. Sometimes, he lets himself go with the mild darkness of the summery twilight and some other times he dances to the sound of hopeful Autumn sunsets, both synthetic and flashing. No wonder, Bolívar keeps on deepening down the soul of his signature sound - which goes from house and  techno to IDM and dub, always from a deep approach- and which plays, experiments and enjoys along places he only knows but we all indulge in.

The duo formed by Rodrigo Desentis (México) and Eduardo Esquivel (Uruguay) provide an uptempo gem strictly designed for the dance floor. Esquivel is a well know name in the Latin American electronic music scene, since he started his residency at the mythical club EXTASIS in Montevideo. After 25 years of career and extensively touring through Uruguay, Brasil and Argentina, Eduardo has settled in México city with residencies in the acclaimed BLANCO COLIMA and CASA DISCO.

Pale Blue is an electronic duo that we constantly enjoy hearing from. As the collaborative production alias of Elizabeth Wight and Mike Simonetti, the pair brings a very particular breed of electronic music to the playing field that touches base on ambient, techno, acid, drone and shoegaze. It's a perfectly co-arranged marriage between the power of spoken words, a strong vocal reach and impeccable production work, which results in a musical output that is highly danceable, endlessly refreshing and doesn’t lack its fair share of creativity, next to finding its way onto labels like Correspondant, Me Me Me, 2MR and Crosstown Rebels.
