In the late nineties I spent my weekends raving with friends. Through my involvement organizing events I became fortunate enough to hang out in DJ booths, learning all that I could. I had then, and still now have no real background in music beyond grade school band. But, being a computer geek with a keen ability to find cool software, I came across then early versions of Cakewalk and FL Studio. I spent many hundreds of hours learning those utilities, tracking down VST's and plugins of all manner, and making short loops and songs.

While i could make some ok music, it wasn't fulfilling for me as i knew I was missing so much background knowledge. I instead opted to go to collage and learn web development, where I happened to meet some really cool people in the audio engineering program. Indirectly, and over a decade later, they have inspired me to go back to making music as a means to finding peace. 

Thanks to the internet I've already dug in to filling the gaps. However, being a bit impatient, I figured why wait until i'm done studying the basics, and familiar with more robust software. Apps have come a long way, and in so doing have given me a way to get back in the flow of creation; though, no replacement for quality desktop software. 

Of the dozens I've tried, Music Maker Jam for some reason just pulled me in. Glued to that thing for months I've created dozens of tracks, releasing my favourites to the in-app network. 

Here I figured I would share tracks created with royalty free mix packs. I hope you enjoy. Please be sure to leave a comment. My inbox is also open, and I welcome constructive criticisms and insight.
