This is an album that is not meant for gatekeepers or elitists in the EDM scene. If you like it, cool. If you hate it, I don't really care...
Think of it as my take on outsider electronic music.

To my fans, who so graciously have given me feedback on these tracks throughout the years... this album is for you. I would be nothing without you guys, and you've sure given me a lot more fulfillment than any "gatekeepers" in music ever have (besides Myon... that dude is so cool). The album is a compilation of 5 years of emotions, discoveries, and growth. You will notice that some of the songs may sound outdated, and that is true, as some were made long ago. The point isn't to have everything sound like I made it yesterday. I want it to be a journey for the listener in more ways than one.

Starting at track 5 (Secret of the Forest), I am officially introducing a new genre called "Future Trance." It consists of a combination of trance percussion and sound design, but with the freedom in composition/arrangement of Future Bass. I am very proud of this album, as it is my most experimental, unique work yet. Again, this isn't for the average listener, and I'm ok with that. Trance elitists will probably hate it because it's too bassy and experimental. Bass heads will probably hate it because it's too melodic and not angry enough. I don't care. I am in a unique spot right now musically, feeling like I am constantly trapped in this world between beauty and bass, and I'm extremely happy in this world. That said, I'm just excited that in this age of everyone being a DJ that I have finally found something that is different and uniquely me. Future Trance is the direction I will be taking with the Theølogy project from now on, and strewn throughout the future of musical creation (and the album too!), you will hear video game remixes from some of the most influential game soundtracks that I have come across in my measly 29 years of existence. 

I hope this gets you in a good mood and that you enjoy THIS particular musical journey.

I've wanted to remix this song for quite some time now... It's an absolutely GORGEOUS melody and chord progression that perfectly encapsulates the environment you are moving Samus through. As far as I know, we are among the first people to have made a dance remix of it!

When I initially approached AJ about it, we had a zoom meeting and our energies just "clicked." You know when you meet someone that makes you question where they've been your whole life? Yeah, that's AJ. I am so excited to meet you in person someday bro!

Seriously tho, this is my FIRST remix from my FAVORITE Zelda game. I wrote a paper about why I love this game so much in college and why it's better than every other Zelda and I got an A. So come at me bro.

Astral Observatory is a tune that makes me contemplate life. In a universe that is so vast, it's often hard to find purpose... however, if we reframe our outlook and view purpose as something that is /developed/ rather than discovered, we will become free. The best way to build our future is to create it. Your purpose belongs to you and /you alone./ Define it for yourself, as only /you/ are allowed to do so.

This is in my slower, future trance, bass-heavy style. Enjoy!

The Legend Of Zelda Majora's Mask - Astral Observatory (Theology Remix)

I met Goosaphlute at Midwest Gaming Classic in Milwaukee, WI. I heard them absolutely slaying while playing Zelda tunes in a cafe area and knew I had to meet them! When we met, the vibes were amazing! 

I asked them to play live during my set during the Ocarina of Time Title Screen Theme remix and they equally killed it there too. When the time for VGM Con came, they perfected the tune and gave a stellar performance that even made me cry mid-performance. Seriously, if you look at the video on my YouTube, you can see me wiping tears from my eyes haha.

After the success of that performance, I decided to ask them to record it so I could swap out the crappy synth instruments with some ACTUAL ocarina and flute.

This is the result... just in time for the 25th anniversary of Ocarina of Time.

Enjoy, and when you listen, reflect on how you can show kindness to others. That's what it's all about :)

Dr. Mario - Chill (Theology Remix)

You could say that, though Zanarkand is gone from this world... it lives on in the song...

When I first heard Ian's a cappella cover of Hymn of the Fayth I was blown away. I had instant goosebumps and I KNEW I wanted to remix it... Thankfully, the GOAT himself obliged and well... now we have this track haha. The drops are grimy and filthy just as I like them, but the melodic content is beautiful as ever.

To me, The Hymn of the Fayth represents remembering past memories through song. This happens to me way too much... a song will instantly bring me back to an era or to a moment where I was alive, free, and happy. It never fails to transport me to those times and I literally can FEEL what it was like in the moment. This is both eerily beautiful and haunting to me. I'll never get to relive those good times again, but at least I can have some semblance of what they were like. Cherish the good moments you have in life and don't take the people you love for granted.

Although good memories may have passed... you can grasp them again through music of the soul...

Noteblock finished this song this week and wanted to upload it on Saturday so I said, "Heck yes I'll gladly upload mine the same day!"

Mario Kart DS was my JAM as a kid. It was my first ever experience playing games online with other people! Sometimes I won, sometimes I lost... but then I got really good at snaking and proceeded to hardly EVER lose lololol! 

But seriously, sometimes searching and waiting can lead to some of the best experiences of our lives. As I said in my pilot episode "In DEFENSE of Gamers," the social aspects of video games are amazing for our mental health, as we are a social species, and this fulfills the desire we have for connection on some innate level (tho being in person should always be the aim).
I fondly remember the Wi-Fi menu music from this game and how that was my nostalgic gateway to connecting with others online, forming bonds, and having an absolute blast.

It's similar to how searching and waiting can lead to other good things in life.
It took me 16 years of DJing and Producing, rebranding, honing my craft, and a few lucky strikes to get to THIS place, and now I'm collabbing with people like Noteblock. It's literally surreal to me and just goes to show you that it's about the JOURNEY, not the destination, folks.

Here is the game over theme from Secret of Mana, remixed by Hanabi and myself.

To take out anything from this would be an injustice, so I decided to put some of the most filthy and melodic drops I could amidst the beauty.

In life, sometimes we fail. If there is anything I learned from JRPGs though, it's that we can try again, yet in a different way. This is the beauty of life sometimes too... yeah, we'll fail here and there, but if we try again with a new strategy, have enough persistence, and don't give up, with most things we are bound to succeed. Take a look at me... I am going on year 16 of DJing and Producing, and I'm JUST starting to get good at it and achieve some sort of success.

The only difference between me and others is that I never gave up.

I've been holding onto this one and I don't know why... I think it's absolutely beautiful and very fitting for my first release of the year because...

I started this when I lived in the desert in California last year... like legit I went into a desert area, opened my laptop and started producing. Normally, we'd be there now as well, but my wife got a different job so we moved back to Minnesota.

The funny thing, is that when I hear this and I close my eyes, I am instantly back there in that arid environment. It was gorgeous and I miss it.

There is a tiny portion of me that regrets not being there now, but regret can always be wielded to capture wisdom for your future days.

So on the snowy day that I'm writing this, it makes me grateful for my current surroundings, albeit completely different, and I all of a sudden have the urge to make "A Wish," the snowy theme from Secret of Mana.

I remember playing this game on my Uncle's PC when I lived on a dead end block in Carmel, Indiana. I have DISTINCT flahsbacks of this song playing as I struggled to beat the level. And struggle I did! I barely got past this thing as a kid but I DID eventually beat it...

Man... remixing it now as a 32 year old adult feels so right. You know why? I'm not struggling to beat it anymore. And by IT I mean life... haha. I told myself that I would win at some point in life and that's what's happening... you know, it isn't because I am anything special... it's just because I stuck to a goal and I never gave up. Along the way, I realized that it was about living a balanced life too. Even water, the source of life, if ingested too much can be detrimental.
Always seek balance in sticking to your goals...

And one day, you will also overcome whatever challenges you are facing. Believe in yourself, dammit!

Secret of Mana - The Wind Never Ceases (Theology Vs. Xontron Hardstyle Remix)

Episode 002 explores food! We also talk about doing different things in different ways to achieve success, and my good friend Roq shared a story about uniting him and his GF's families over cooking a turkey in a different way than they were used to! Recording this had me salivating haha.

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Thanks for the commission here Bugcap2023! I had a lot of fun making this. The style of drop is something that I put in a track like 4 years ago back in my mainstream EDM days but never released. Really fun to revisit this kind of an idea and to do it for someone who appreciates it instead of rejects it.
