@preciousmetalsx founder @therealendgame, AKA “the devil himself”, in the building for the latest podcast.

Co-founding the now-defunct Bala Club to launching Precious Metals, the NTS mainstay is one of London’s foremost underground operators: a prolific producer, DJ and label owner that counts the likes of Kamixlo, Yayoyanoh and Organ Tapes among his closest peers and collaborators. 

Committed to platforming emerging artists, no stone is left unturned in his label’s pursuit of dysfunction and emotive-driven, genre-bending cross-pollination. It’s music that draws from the chaos of the urban complex; intense, visceral, sometimes nocturnal, and, on occasion, violent in the extreme.

And where his own productions straddle the line between severe electronics, drill abstraction and Latinx styles, this mix treads a similar path.

His creatively rich approach involves drawing inspiration from Eastern cultures and a variety of instruments, which he skilfully weaves into UK-style club tracks. The resulting sound seamlessly fuses elements such as HARD DRUM, dark breakbeats, grime and DnB to create innovative and captivating compositions. His releases on labels such as Hakuna Kulala, Eastern Margins, FunctionLab, TREKKIE TRAX, Ashida Park and Eco Futurism Corporation have attracted audiences from both the local and international scenes due to his eclectic musical style and imaginative approach.

Rama is a multidisciplinary artist and DJ. She grew up between Egypt and France and is now based in Berlin. She co-founded the Cairo based independent music platform irsh in 2019. As a DJ, Rama swiftly made a name for herself in Cairo’s electronic and dance scene by performing at underground parties such as VENT and MOSHTRQ. She is recognized for her ability to draw from a diverse range of sounds without being constrained by genres, with a method of mixing more akin to live mashups than regular blends. Rama also hosts a monthly show on Noods Radio, a space that allows her to play music that may not always be suited for the club.

They are a horrific wake-up call that brutally brings the precarious situation on our planet to the fore. The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, and Israel’s collective punishment of Palestinian civilians are intolerable. On top of that, the military actions threaten the lives of the remaining hostages in the Gaza-Strip, and even more innocent people in Gaza.
