There was a fierce chatter in the chamber as the crowd began to gather to observe the verdict. A lot of talk for a small room and a lot of people with too much to say. This was the way of the world these days, politicians with dead weight opinions and a sense of righteousness enough to sink a ship. Perhaps this is all we were to them, a sinking ship, we the sailors floundering overboard whilst the great beast fell to the ocean floor beneath the waves. These were horrid times, there was too much talk. 

La Dune Records are set to release a split ep with an intriguing and exciting array of talent on display. Native Cruise is a relatively new name but has appeared in the right places as of light having released music on both No Bad Days and Fruit Merchant. He delivers a sunny, balearic, house cut as part of the package.

Liluzu’s "What Is Your Star Sign" EP, from burgeoning (dare we say hotly tipped?) label Kalahari Oyster Cult, is a release that tempts the use of a lazy journalistic lens. Here is the latest release from a label that, in a fashion true to its name, has been accruing a small-but-devout denomination of savvy followers since debuting two years ago with Jacy’s “Somewhere In The Tapes” EP. Over the course of 14 releases in that time, Cult, run by Amsterdam’s Colin Volvert, has managed to snag buzzy artists like Roza Terenzi and Urulu. It would be easy enough to pen a write up simply positioning this latest release, from a relatively unknown artist, as another part of the Kalahari story, and little more.Afterall, Liluzu (real name Lachlan McGeehan) has been to this point operating in decidedly “low-key” fashion--dropping occasional mixes on online outlets, managing two releases on his wax label Vulcan Venti, and playing sporadic gigs in the fertile Melbourne milieu that he inhabits.

Based on the strength of this EP, however, his profile may be about to rise.

Señor Gordon is back on Quintessentials! Colombia’s number 1 when it comes to freaky house music delivers the goods again. Felipe Gordon has this incredible talent to mix so many different sounds and samples to create his unique style. Funky pianos (or should we say sick ass chords!), wobbling basslines, jazzy samples, disco and funk influences all combined together to make the “Felipe Gordon house sound”. Sometimes more punchy like “Sick ass chords” and “The quint garage”, sometimes more relaxed like “Girl, u don’t know…” and “For those who…”, but you just hear it’s FG from B in C!

The second release on Ravanelli Disco Club comes from french producer Yann Polewka. He's enlisted jazzy englishman Cody Currie for remix duties and we must say its perfect for the summer. Cody Has been moving away from sample based productions of late in favor of crisp original productions and we like it!. This is a very warm and bouncy affair, with live keys laid down in the studio with squiggly synth leads and bubbling acid arps dancing away over his clever use of the original sample material given.

SB PREMIERE: Yann Polewka - La French Teuch (Cody Currie Remix) [Ravanelli Disco Club]

@Apparel-Music is delighted to welcome aboard one of the most talented house music producers in the scene, @lozgoddard, who’s the protagonist of APLTD012. The twelfth release of the Apparel’s limited catalogue is a brand new 4 tracks EP called “Signals” by the Mancunian featuring a 4-hands collaboration with @harrywolfman and a remix by @jad-lee. Every single track has been chosen carefully since the beginning of the project to make this record a representative work of the artist who perfectly blends his musical knowledge with the label’s imprint. The opening track “Fourth Dimension” is a teamwork between Goddard and the above mentioned Wolfman and is the ideal start with its crunchy, slightly distorted beat, bold bassline and spacey chords and arpeggios, surely a track for the DJ’s out there to play out to a busy dancefloor. A2 is the title track “Signals” and it lowers the heartbeat, displaying all Goddard’s talent on the keys and creating an impeccable fluctuating soundscape of his musical characteristics: the beat is an oscillating, yet solid structure while the different timbres of his synths evaporate and reappear conceiving a dreamy, spacey track. Side B begins with the whimsical chords of “It’s Not So Cold In Tromso” where the artist takes the listener to a brief and intense trip to see the Norwegian northern lights; the track is made by a strong rhythm section and flighty, far-out, harmonies which really evoke Scandinavian landscapes. B2 is a free interpretation of the previous track by the Australian Jad & The who amalgamates a jungle-ish beat to Goddard’s introspective harmonic section telling his opinion on the trip to “Tromso”. "Signals" will be released the 2nd of December on 12” vinyl and we’re more than happy to welcome Goddard to Apparel Music’s family.

This Is Our Time is thrilled to announce its first international artist, Perdu from Amsterdam.
On his EP called 'Finding Life on Planet Rash' he launches us up to the stars with 'Sun Of Nahar' starting this mission with italo-propulsion. This sends us to a stratosphere high trajectory and lands us on 'Equalizing The Truth', an elusive jam with a toned-down bassline and otherworldly soundscapes. The triumphant cosmic house called 'Changing Worlds' leads the way on the B-side with rolling chimes and tribal-y percussion and our dancefloor exploration ends with 'Wrong Perception' a subtle and delicate track which is the deepest of all so it gives the space and time to just reflect. 
We were on board the first time we listened to these tracks so buy a ticket for the ride!

Going back to Lichtenberg: Album remixes round 2 coming your way. Johannes Albert and his „Wing House" gets refreshed by Lorsch boy Shan who delivers another hot pick of the week. Yes, it’s the one you been asking for months. Bubbling disco synths meet his breaky beat work. Will make you fly. Giegling & KANN affiliate Map.ache or better - just Mapi - is next in line turning „Cell“ into an epic, cinematic House groover. Using the original ambient vibe and adding his personal touch, the Leipzig Urgestein shows off in fine, subtle elegance. Sebastian Voigt is strongly related to Renate club in Berlin where he is taking care of bookings and holds a residency, more on the techno side of things. His breakbeat remix of „Milieu“ features the vocals of photographer Gundula Eldowy Schulze. He ends up at 130 BPM in frantic, yet warm craziness. Chapeau. Sir Iron Curtis, better known as Frank Music's BFF whirls „Wing House“ into a genuine bassline monster. His machines tell a story. A story of a neverending, peaceful dance.

After releases this year on 96 Musique and Haws, the end of 2020 sees a new sonic direction for AJ Edward, with Juno heavy arpeggios and Italo inspired drum samples to form his latest EP 'From the Top'. The title track is a thumping combination of live bass and hypnotic Rhodes, resulting in a tasteful groover drenched upon an Italo house backdrop. The full EP is out on 15th December!

Two years after their first record came out, the crew operating legendary dance nights in Nantes are back on top of the new release pile. Two original tracks by Kanot and two remixes. Overall, their stylistic balance signature is maintained, although the gravity center is a bit more leftfield and poetic, a bit less dance-obvious. But that's only in comparison to other material : any of the four pieces here can take a dance floor apart, played at the right time.

Hit & Run has a massive "star grabbing" feel, the synth and guitar surges sounding like as many jumps above the stratosphere, and the vocalizing choirs on top making it a definitive cosmi jam.
Turbulens is more earthy than spacy : drum breaks and big ass basslines bring out an irresistible leg shaking feel, the melodic guitars on top balance the vibe into that delicious moment when caribbean sunsets turn the day into a warm a groovy night, certainly a party starter.

The pilotwings remix is to the image of their added touch : trancy on edges but very far from easy or obvious. Constantly jumping above and diving under the line, it's playing greatly with dancers feet, and eventually their minds.

House man Vidock delivers the most danceable material on this record. His strong experience as a DJ for parties focused on having people dancing freely for a long time is clearly audible. This slo mo belter doesn't need much advertisement, it just needs to be played to any dancefloor, be it at midnight or 8 am.
