Depuis 2020, Soleil Rouge se caractérise par la rencontre d’esprits souhaitant penser et partager des espaces de création sincères et sensibles au regard des bouleversements que nous connaissons. Premier Rayon résulte de la première édition de Paturia. Un séjour en communauté s’établissant à Mazirat (03), ayant pour cœur la découverte et la promotion d’arts musicaux et visuels.

Intimate Publics, Osheyack’s second album, is an homage to Shanghai, the city he has called home since 2012. Over the past ten years the producer has evolved from an avid club-goer to a key member of the vital soundscape that emerged from ALL Club and its predecessor, the now defunct club The Shelter. As hinted by the title, which draws on American social theorist Michael Warner’s work on publics and counterpublics, the album expresses a commitment to mining the utopian potential of club music, forging new worlds and generating future social relations, just as the artist bids farewell to the city at a moment of uncertain transition. While tracks like 'Edging' and 'Thrall' continue to present his signature collage of harder club music, the rest of the record reveals a shift to synthetic approximations of acoustic instruments. 'Still', the central track of the album, is a piece composed almost entirely of samples found on Vocaloid (a vocal synthesizer developed by Yamaha, commonly used to give voice to Japanese virtual idols). While echoing themes explored in previous projects, like the nature of realism and authenticity in a techno-mediated landscape, Intimate Publics is charged with an unexpected emotional candor and vulnerability, unveiling a personal side Osheyack is only beginning to explore.

Astraltopia is the third and final compilation in the Topia series, as well as the terminal release in the Astral Plane Recordings catalog. Made up of contributions from longtime APR artists and friends, Astraltopia traverses outgrowths of past label releases, novel sonic formulations and the infra-zones between and underneath extant club sounds. Accompanied by artwork from Sam Meier and mastering by Will Mitchell, the compilation follows 2012’s Heterotopia and 2015’s Psychotropia, both of which preceded the formal inauguration of Astral Plane Recordings. Astraltopia

CHANTS - Seven Billion Spheres

Transcend into a never-before-defined expanse of sounds as TT welcomes back BFTT with his debut album ‘Redefines’. The statement of a periodic 4-year writing process marks his most reflective work to date - a meticulously sculpted sound which introspectively draws from everything that he has produced. The album is not only a testimony to BFTT’s sonic journey but the embodiment of time itself. Interpreted as an ‘audio diary’, it puts into sound a spectrum of rose tinted emotions which are attached to the samples buried within each track. Taken from YouTube videos and recordings from his phone, a subconscious process of redefinition has attributed additional meaning to the samples over time. BFTT’s eulogization of the inexplicable beauty in this false nostalgia is conveyed as a colossal encyclopaedia of sounds, spaces and rhythms, taking you on a journey into the past through the sounds of future.

‘Redefines’ will keep you on the edge of your seat as BFTT effortlessly flits between different sonic terrains. From beatless expanses of desolate rainy soundscapes, to highly charged spectrums of beats, to varying iterations of glitchy vocal samples. Expect switch-ups between warming subterranean basslines and steely high-frequency refractions in a matter of seconds. Off-kilter beats compressed tight enough to pack a punch morph into more dubby distortions and reverberating kicks. To close, a dissonant orchestra of acoustic strings masterfully tying together the album.

TL;DR: this one’s a special record.

Marking the 50th release-proper on SVBKVLT, we are excited to present ‘Mutate’, a new album by ABADIR.

‘Mutate’ started when I was trying out Maqsoum loops at high bpm blended with Jungle tracks during one of my DJ sets. I noticed that the Maqsoum rhythm complements the Amen break in a refreshing way. The first time I actually tried integrating both in my productions using “call and response” was when Ice_Eyes asked me to remix one of their tracks. The result was the closest to what I had always imagined to be my own club sound.

I set out to make an album using the same technique with some of my favorite club genres. My aim was to mutate those genres, collecting different types of Arabic rhythms and cooking them with Jungle, Jersey Club, Reggaeton, Footwork, etc. It’s an irreversible equation, like a chemical reaction, where the output is a melted piece which cannot be broken down into its separate inputs. Instead of ‘deconstructing’ or generally looking beyond club music, I made some fatty, straight up dance floor music.’ – ABADIR

Your soul wants to show itself in its truest form, strength, perseverance, courage and determination of spirit. In this lifetime your soul needs to cleanse and open its feelings for katharsis.

With the double compilation “Infinite Summer: Ekstase & Fantasi”, katharsis celebrates the return of raves and concerts to society after a long period of pandemic shutdown. A magical summer has passed filled with an incredible pallet of emotional material, ready to be expressed. Therefore, we encouraged a collection of artists we adore to channel their imagination of the greatest way to conclude an endless summer night into a piece of music.

This resulted in a grand assemblage of harmonious manifestations, naturally splitting into two divisions with opposing focuses. On the first part of the duology “Ekstase” coming out on September 20th, we are presented with fourteen tracks for the dancefloor in an array of different styles, ranging everywhere from energetic morning vibes on the junglish opener “Origin, Gate's Dawn” by Yem Gel to hardcore sensations on Mang’s trap-infused roller “Based Halo”.
