might not have come in the ribbons you thought,
they see the woman on the left,
in between the two men,
she's got a strange pull towards you today,

it's hard to disregard this collected facade of shyness,
seeping deep into the cut made by a cult,
of passing shadows dripping with perfume,
and maybe this cannot  be helped,
so instead I mimic your hands as they catch my chin,
because these are the times that you see me,
and remember that my eyes are brown

to the one twistin' blonde in a knot,

jealousy is new to me,
