Finally! We're here with another episode of RADIORAMA.

And what a beauty it is. 

Been trying so hard to present this mix with words, but It is so so difficult presenting a person you've shared half a lifetime of experiences with. 

Because where do I Start? 

N'Djinn. The man in question for this weeks nexus of frequencies, also known as Aske is one of dearest. Now based in Berlin but originating from roughly the same rural area in Denmark as myself we go quite a while back.

Honestly i spent the first years of high school not knowing what the fuck to make of him. Definitely took a while to connect. However, had i known the array of absolutely incredible experiences I would have had alongside him, I would have given him the biggest hug on the first day of school no doubt. Egos and shit.. But hey.. We grew. And quite alot.

A cosmic comrade - A journey through space and music. 

Both having an urge for an astral escape as well as the ability to get sucked into music and forget time and place for many many hours. Jazz, Boogie, Funk, Soul, House, Disco, Latin, Dub, Leftfield. Not to mention our whole connection with the Greta Cottage Workshop lot, and our trip to Durusa Summer Hills & Virgo Festival. The places we've gone, the things we've seen listing them would just take too long.

A friendship a certain unique dynamic we share that makes spending time together so easy and so awesome. No matter the time spent apart, reconnecting never requires much effort. Dispite the difficulties of living far apart with alot of stuff going on on each side of the border. 

Through every bit of the inception of my career, everything leading up to it, and quite a while into it, he was there by my side, came to most of my gigs, and quite a few of them we also played together. A true friend and an absolute master behind the decks. 

Blessed to have had him as a teacher and an inspiration. Always on the search for the next great experience, he's been a constant influx of creativity and one of the biggest impacts on who I am as an artist.  

The mix itself is 1 hour and 30 minutes of "10/10 on the Theo list" as he explained it himself. 

It just goes to show how well he knows me. Because it is indeed 10/10 up my street. 

If I had to dance for and hour and a half, nothing would do it better.

RADIORAMA EPISODE #5 // N'djinn

After last episodes dancefloor ripper from N'djinn we move into slightly more jazz territory here on number 6. 

This time it's the fabulous Jazztronauterne (The Jazztronauts) who are serving up an hour of their incredible jazz selection. 

Rune & Benjamin, the guys responsible, are long time friends from the local music scene and are both incredible human being but also top tier selectors.  Whether it be for the living room or the dancefloor these guys know what they're doing. 

So pour your coffee, lean back and enjoy a splendid hour of brown/darkgreen & orange vibes.

RADIORAMA EPISODE #6 // JAZZTRONAUTERNE

After last weeks Jazz adventure, Ive got iner, hailing from Skt. Petersburg delivering the natural successor in form of an incredible mix of Jazz, Hip Hop, Funk and House. Perfect for an afternoon ride on the bike, or for sitting in a chair sippin' on sunshine. It might even amp you up for tonights party shenanigans. 

Iner is an established name in the underground house scene with a plethora of incredible releases coming from his hand, as well as his own label Dobro Music which has seen only a few, but yet incredible V/A releases, full of local talent from the Russian underground scene. Well worth checking out. 

Hopefully I'll get a chance to get this guy to Copenhagen for a night behind the decks once we get the green light for proper appreciation of our music. 

Until then, here's 55 minutes of quality from the man Himself.

RADIORAMA SPEZIAL - Ground Plane Aerial Essentials

As a continued effort to try and make interesting merges between new and already existing sounds, Ghosten has been born. 

As an ode to the whitelabels and bootlegs, as well as some of the Paxton Fettel Vinyl Only releases I've done over the years, this is an ongoing process of expanding my ways of making edits, remakes and tributes. These are usually done with house as a camera, jazz as objective and funk as the colour grading. The only difference from my old approach is that most of the elements are now played by myself, and no longer sampled. 

As I take these merely as scientific explorations of old audio, merged with live instruments, soundscapes, field recordings, and a complete new composition and mix - I've decided to give them away for free. It's mostly a jamming project for me, where I get to have alot of fun. 
However I think the results are interesting enough to share, and maybe some day inspire others to try out new stuff, even if it has no relevance or makes no sense to anyone. 

So here goes Ghosten. (lol, that sounds pretty daft - so let's keep it).

Shattered Names & Dreams: My love for loopy and sample-heavy house music never seem to wane. Stuff like this just always get's me in a good mood, and I think this one in particular has a very cool vibe.
I did some heavy chopping, and played some bass guitar on top of the sample - it got me grooving.
Super happy to see these fly. Hope you like them too.

Ghosten - Shattered Names & Dreams

The Music Inside: I wrote the piano part for this track some early morning, and it took me quite a while to figure out what I wanted to do with it - but after many hours of bass-jammin on top of it, I came up with something that really worked. It has quite a soulful touch and is rather smooth in it's expression. Add in a few slices of vocal samples and some horn stabs and this has been one of my favourite creations for a while now. Tested it out a few times at Fuse Points ( Dance Class in Copenhagen) and people really seemed to be getting down to this one.

Linchen: Dedicated to the one of the most incredible people I know. The inspiration for this track came after we had an incredible weekend together and a banging party with Dr. Bongiorno at VSA in Copenhagen. It's not always possible for me to translate my feelings & emotions into a track in such a pure form. But this was straight from the heart.

Ghosten - Ouh! Feel The Vibrations Baby

Both having more than 10 years of experience in the underground dance music scene in Copenhagen, it was a matter of time before Theo & Amanda would team up to produce some music together. 

Amanda had some ideas of a few disco tracks she would like to play around with in order to make them more suitable for the dancefloor, and Theo was up for helping realize these ideas. After half a year of hanging out of the studio, several tracks have been completed. Some of which are entirely original production and others, such as this one, which is more on the edit side of things.

With as much love and respect for the original as possible we’ve made a version that just sits better on a big system, and is easier to do longer mixes with. 
We’re all incredibly excited to share this dancefloor igniter with all of you.
