The Original Skill project has been around since 1998, it has been a secret passion for a very long time and has proudly evolved in the past 10 years into a formidable sound. 

Like many stories of young musicians, it all began with a piano. From the age of 10, playing and exploring different instruments. The first band, concert and then recognition after winning a battle of the bands. The creative process has never stopped and there is no shortage of brilliant tunes.

Starting from Rock and Metal roots, the focus has been on experimenting with different styles and refining the techniques needed to get the ideas across professionally. Nothing kills a good concept like a bad mix with inefficient mastering.

'Shift' was the first set which became available for online streaming back in 2008. Being a more rock and hip-hop based sound with no vocals, it featured a few tracks which debuted at local open mic events. As as unsigned artist it was purely about testing the environment and getting the name out there.

Bet eventually, the limitless potential and low overheads of the electronic market beckoned. And in 2009, work began on the first set of remixes for the 'Rewired' set.

'Lonely Braincell' was originally centered around the dubstep/trance genre, but after sampling brilliant acapella artists like Candance Sims, RaRCharm and ProLyfik the set was instantly transformed into an experimental platform. Blending original riffs and alternative styles with a dark electronic buzz. This set is definitely going to be something extraordinary, can't wait for more. Check out some of the recent demo releases below, this set is due to be finishing in 2013.
