Most people know Roberta Flack from Killing Me Softly (1973-74) which sold a bazillion copies and won record of the year etc. In 1975 she released another soulful album entitled, Feel Like Makin' Love. There are a bunch of cool tunes on this record and a lot of great musicians involved. Today's sample comes from "Mr. Magic". I lifted an instrumental bit as well as a vocal line. At the end you'll hear a distortion on the drums which comes from a combination of compression and a guitar effects pedal.
