Theory Of The Lion is a project started in 2020 by Alejandro Zarazua, a producer based in Canada. In Alejandro’s words, ‘an artist’s sound reflects all the things they have been through and all the people that have inspired them’. And this new project is the result of several years of mixed life experiences, studies in music and production, and his never-ending passion to find and create exciting music.

Theory Of The Lion is all about finding interesting ways to put together the elements from which Alejandro has always drawn his inspiration: fun rhythm patterns, trip-hoppy bass lines that make you sway with a half smile, quirky guitars that complement the beat, carefully crafted electronics, and lyrics that reflect the artist’s lifelong quest to learn the power of words to create powerful images. All the songs now in production are somewhat different, but it’s clear that they all come from the same mind - a mind that loves being tickled by Massive Attack, Phoenix, Mew, Architecture In Helsinki, Imogen Heap, The Postal Service, and many other artists that he likes to describe as ‘Smart Pop’.

For Alejandro, the main goal is -and has always been- to help expand the collective mind by constantly challenging his own, and to share his particular flavour of sound with anyone who might find something useful or interesting in it.
