The mixtape is very dark. It has a dark sound and dark subject matter to match. I think I was making a conscious effort to make a true-to-life, human record that still managed to edify the saints. It was difficult but I knew I wanted to achieve 100% transparency. So, whether it came in the form of me expounding on my lust issues, or my relationship issues, or just my overall doubts and worries. Contrasting that with my thirst and hunger for righteousness and my boldness in Christ. I just wanted to show the people around me that I'm human. I know how funny that sounds, but when we're living this Christian life and walking this walk, running this race with the aim of being conformed to the image of perfection, people expect that you've arrived, or that you think you've arrived. And that's the issue that I see Christians & non-Christians struggle with in their normal day to day lives.
