Made during lockdown when I couldn't see my (then girlfriend, now wife) when we lived in England and Czech Republic. I now live in Czech with her.

She sent me some riff ideas (using piano, keyboard, bass and accordion), improvised jams, along with some nice vocal parts, recorded with her phone, and then I structured, added drums, samples and mixed it over the course of a couple of months.

The album title was chosen for a few reasons; hoping for the harmonious future in the world, for individuals and collectively, and personally for ourselves in our time together.

Various parts of the album were inspired by Pyramid Song, Amon Tobin, Orbital, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Igorrr, Mogwai, Godspeed, Mono, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, 1920s silent film music, plus there are some fun film samples to spot during the course of it.

Obviously I'm not in the same league as any of them, but that's where I was aiming at times when putting together this experimental / progressive / electronic / drone / ambient / glitch / noise album.

'Portals' tells the story of the mysterious Vault B (the 7th door of the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala, India), and the surrounding secrets regarding the unveiled treasures of the other vaults.

A blend of tense swirling dark ambience, several melancholic but uplifting piano pieces and hypnotic loops all gathered in thriller film soundtrack inspired composition.

OWL65 is a 20 track, 95 minute mix of released and unreleased tracks (10 of each), and an overwhelming journey that covers a pretty broad spectrum of noise, chaos, darkness and experimentation.

This is a crazy trip with some pretty big riffs in it! Part of a remix compilation with 22 artists (including me) in a 222 minute experimental, electronic (techno, drum n bass), noise (harsh, glitch, wall, industrial), dark and light ambient, piano, bass, guitar, abstract, avantgarde sounds, made using my previously released sounds.

The OWL75 release is one that brings me great pride and joy, with the artists who have come along and made remixes of my tracks, plus 5 that I have done myself for this as The Owl and Morbid Beauty.

Exploring the themes of 'Mother Nature' as a living breathing entity, the intriguing forests of the world, and how we should make more of an effort, small and daily, large and for our lifetimes, to take care of the very things that give us our existence.

Made between December 16th and May 3rd 2022, using piano, voice, bass, drums, several field recordings in Orlová Cz, no 'Paulstretch' and lots of manipulations and layering.

I hope you will step away from reality for an hour and let my sounds and nature guide your brain and feelings. I promise it is a warming, fulfilling trip once you are inside.
