Descending the chambers...

'Portals' tells the story of the mysterious Vault B (the 7th door of the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala, India), and the surrounding secrets regarding the unveiled treasures of the other vaults.

A blend of tense swirling dark ambience, several melancholic but uplifting piano pieces and hypnotic loops all gathered in thriller film soundtrack inspired composition.

Serpent Lord

A Meandering Caecilian In The Forest Of Spectres

(from 'Vacuum Noise' collection)

Of course, the title is a little nod to The Prodigy's early recordings.

OWL65 is a 20 track, 95 minute mix of released and unreleased tracks (10 of each), and an overwhelming journey that covers a pretty broad spectrum of noise, chaos, darkness and experimentation.

Charly Says 'It Was An Accident'

From the compilation album of compilation tracks, 'An Owl In The Noisy Sky #2'.

70 minutes over 10 varied tracks of experimental electronic; Sometimes loud, chaotic, harsh and noisy; Sometimes calm, drone, dark ambient, immersive; Sometimes upbeat and rhythmical. The usual mix and surprises for those who know The Owl releases previously.

Thank you all who take a look.

Twin Peaks theme remix 'Where Is The Beauty? There Is None If The Eyes Are Soulless'

From 'The Owl remixed' compilation.

This is a crazy trip with some pretty big riffs in it! Part of a remix compilation with 22 artists (including me) in a 222 minute experimental, electronic (techno, drum n bass), noise (harsh, glitch, wall, industrial), dark and light ambient, piano, bass, guitar, abstract, avantgarde sounds, made using my previously released sounds.

The OWL75 release is one that brings me great pride and joy, with the artists who have come along and made remixes of my tracks, plus 5 that I have done myself for this as The Owl and Morbid Beauty.

Extending The Dance

(from 'The Forests' album)
Expansive, immersive, epic dark ambient drone journey (with occasional hints of relevant noise, experiments and twists as always, hopefully at all the right moments for those now listening).

Exploring the themes of 'Mother Nature' as a living breathing entity, the intriguing forests of the world, and how we should make more of an effort, small and daily, large and for our lifetimes, to take care of the very things that give us our existence.

Made between December 16th and May 3rd 2022, using piano, voice, bass, drums, several field recordings in Orlová Cz, no 'Paulstretch' and lots of manipulations and layering.

I hope you will step away from reality for an hour and let my sounds and nature guide your brain and feelings. I promise it is a warming, fulfilling trip once you are inside.

First upload to Souncloud 2.5 years and 60 Owl releases later! Time to do more here. This track is from the most recent album 'In The Chapel Of Sound', entirely inspired by the brutalist architecture theme, and was also featured as the opening track on Plataforma Records compilation 'Brutalist'.

Brutalismus

Track 'Nothing Of This World' (this is the premastered version) will be on 'The Pallid Revenant' album by The Owl, releasing at an undesignated time somewhere in the future. Made with guitar, piano, synth, vocals, drum programming and guests.

Nothing Of This World

This is a track from a forthcoming album called 'Orbitality'. It was originally just called 'neat', but I couldn't resist the wordplay with the anagram.

I'm a neat animate

A simple love letter in song. Blanka is my rays of sunlight, even in the depth of Winter.

Opening track from the recent 'Orbitality' album.

Berry forever

Track from the upcoming album 'Incendiiary' releasing March 4th, 2026.

We are marching with the giants

March forth.
Skybending blending of rumbling fires, crumbling walls,
melodic meandering and playful non-sequential sequiturs.
All aboard...

A mighty panorama of earth-shaking fury!

I've been a night owl since birth.
The shadows suit me better.
As the fog gathers
and the moon enlarges,
seemingly within grabbing distance
I feel the calm engulf my thoughts.

released August 24th 2022 on theowl.bandcamp.com
and later, as part of a double cassette collection

In Misty Lands We Orbit Unnoticed

from the album 'Weird Noises For Pain Management', released March 8th 2026
Sounds and stories from certain and uncertain times.
I am truly grateful for anyone who hears this, or anything else I release.

Hysterical mysteries

On this day 5 years ago, I released an album called 'Hibernation'. It received a Bandcamp New & Notable feature, and this track has just a few days ago reached the 10,000 plays mark on The Owl Bandcamp (more on Owlripper & Kalamine labels). Still this blows me away.

It felt like a good day to add it to Soundcloud! I hope you enjoy 'Hornstrandir' (named after the Icelandic island in the photograph).

'Isolation - Letting go of everything you know is the first step to finding everything you need to know.'

Hibernation is 'an auditory tale of isolated life, surrounded by Winter darkness, biting cold, daily difficulties, the battle that the body and moreso the mind must survive, as well as the catharsis of the other side.

Each song is named after incredibly remote towns and cities (in Iceland, Russia, Norway, Greenland, Antarctic and Canada) that have extreme low temperatures (Oymyakon has reports of -90!), and is about just how much the human spirit can endure.'

Hornstrandir

Ritualistic Dark Ambient Industrial Deathdream Noise Meditations using ZX Spectrum game loading noises, made October 31st-November 18th 2020.

Imagine if Abruptum's Casus Luciferi was a computer game from the 1980s that Merzbow did the soundtrack for, with Father 2006 adding some spice at the end, then this is what it would sound like...

Or would it be the other way around? If a 1980s computer game made by your father in 2006 was played by Merzbow, but it turned out to be Casus Luciferi by Abruptum? Yeah, that's more weird, let's go with that.

Anyway, you get the picture I am trying to paint... It would be great if you followed the journey to the end.

Have fun... or practice some blakk magick ritualz, which is also fun. Actually, please do the latter to this music, let me know the results...
