The World's My Castle (Castle Doctrine)

This record is a short EP that I created for my Independent Study and Mentorship class at Lone Star High School. As such, I produced, wrote, and recorded the album entirely by myself, with the only assistance being from my mentor, Nicholas Altobelli. I hope you enjoy the record, and I hope I'll be able to make more like it in the future! 

Also, I will most likely be retiring the Tau-9 name and just going by my full name from now on. The original name might still show up occasionally in album credits or on more low-key releases, but this will most likely be my main alias until further notice. Thank you for understanding.

we search, for the answers have no path
no amount of incentives will have us sifting through the math

like raindrops in this river, I'm drifting in the stream

why must we live in fear, when the river is what's near
the fear of some unknown or fear of what's already here
im searching for purpose in the lines within my hand
sour sight of sinking ships beneath this sunken land
a strike of the palm hits your new estate
and the slack line bridges their sorry state
unfolded sheets bring squawking beaks
and a dream that we're all bait

and what of this untimely end, has got us fiending for our will today?
was the idea of the maximum just too much for us to take?
I say nay, I will not stay my ways away
I won't stand here while the night lights drift me here today
I hope for a solitary shadow, to take me to a newer plane
not the ticking clock countdown, no more philosophizing on my grain
