The Painters draw their sound from many influential genres including jazz, rock, funk, avant-garde and classical music. They use their chemistry, as a band, to compose group improvisations along with writing compositions individually. Their performances often include in the moment, improvised takes on their original compositions; sometimes flowing seamlessly from song to song. They are also known for re-framing old favorites from rock n' roll to folk songs. The group is currently working on writing their debut album.
