Jeremy Ryan Castillo who goes by the Dj name “DJ Chippy”. Hailing from the Capital City-Belmopan, the 822 being known today as the Party Favorite.DJ Chippy’s story may be described as “rise up to prominence” from box man to DJ. As a young man and having options of bad company and music he chose a few good friends and music. Back to the days of Wave and Dj Pinky he started out as a Box man/ Speakers guy along with his friend Ycee Banner. Having always seen the music industry inside out interest grew as they would assist on the Saturday Morning Show. That interest grew for both young men which led them along with other friends and form what was known as the Blackstar Sound System. The Blackstar crew played at events in San Ignacio and Belmopan as the guys were based around their home are. The Blackstar Sound System was comprised of Dj Dime (Ycee Banner) Dj Chippy (Jeremy Castillo) Dj Vin (Devin Williams) and ZJ Wayne (Wayne Jones). These guys would be playing at popular places such as Wings Stop, Barrio Fino, Cabana, E & L’s (Belmopan) Meluchis, Blue Angels (San Ignacio) Street Feet (Placencia) and others. Participant of the Belikin DJ Championship 2018 and proud representative of the Garden City- the 822.
