Rain Dance features a running baseline that invokes the rains of a tropical Melbourne summer. Stabby synths and a trance arpeggio glues together this mysterious monster of tune. The sound of rain on a roof was run through an amplifier to create a crescendo of thunderous electronic music. Not to be missed.

Solar Vectors is the latest sun soaked single by Melbourne/Naarm producer The People’s Dance Collective, hot off the mastering desk of Calyx Studios, Berlin. 

The track features an audio-scape reminiscent of the Australian landscape, essentially a celebration of passing gum trees on that famous Australian summer road trip. 

The rhythmic pads morph into endless arpeggio layers whilst a tight kick drum glues punches through the mix like a dusty function sub somewhere in the outback. 

It's approaching summer and we all follow Solar Vectors.

“No Dress (Modulor Acid Mix)” is the latest single by The People’s Dance Collective featuring vocals by Melbourne/Naarm’s own Modular (Olivas).

This acid soaked version of “No Dress” features waves of 303 energy, distorted perceptions of time and heightened levels of euphoria. A stripped back lo fi house beat provides a concrete foundation for a dance floor weapon.

There is a clear nod to MS Kittin and the Hacker in this partnership. No Dress describes how gender stereotypes are being broken down and blurred in the DJ Booth. Big delays on the vocals keep things spacey. Ironic vocals are just so European, aren’t they?
