Identifying a need to stand up against the criminal elite, wealthy billionaires who would only commit their sordid atrocities with the notion that they can buy their way out of retribution.  The unambiguous lyrics narrate the monologue of our vigilante, one who advocates physical threat in order to even the imbalance of society.  The worst deeds, perpetrated only by those with a monetary advantage...but what if the boot was on the other foot?

The fourth and final instalment off our upcoming EP (edited version.)  In this track we wanted to demonstrate the true songwriting abilities and musicianship of the band.  This is a piece we have had in our repertoire for a long time.  We knew it would take considerable time to achieve exactly what we wanted on the record and are finally able to present it as it's meant to be.

All Puppets No Strings (Full Version)

The Perps are an Indie. Alternative Rock band from Manchester comprised of: Seb Smith – Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Tom Burn – Lead Guitar, Vocals, Arik Ross – Bass Guitar, Vocals, Alex Visinoni – Drums.

The Perps' first release, Cut It, launched on New Years Day 2020, showing a funky melodic side to their music. Walk Like This Now, hit the air next in July 2020. It is quintessentially Mancunian, paying homage to the roots of the band while maintaining a modern groove. Next came Bad Way in October 2020, a ferocious number demonstrating the rockier side of the band's influences. The final instalment off the EP – All Puppets No Strings – released in February 2021. It delivers a rousing ballad complete with piano and strings, revealing yet another flavour of The Perps' song writing capabilities.

Now The Perps are back once again with new single ‘Wake Up on Saturday’ A hidden gem from their early acoustic writing sessions back when they first formed the band in 2017. It's now a staple closing number at live shows and has ultimately made it into the studio.

“Wake Up On Saturday demonstrates the full capability of our writing. The lyrics explore the confusion and pain of unrequited love in an ironically uplifting and hopeful musical style. We've combined the two in our latest studio sessions to create our proudest work yet.”
