The events part of the music industry has taken a hit during the pandemic, but the creative minds of our scene have certainly made up for it with consistency and ever-evolving soundscapes. 

Here's the summer edition of my seasonal mix tape series - packed with mesmerizing sounds by Inhmost, Agustin Ficarra, Mike Rish, Esteban Ikasovic, TEELCO, Slam Duck, Travis Jesse, and many many more.

Summer '21

DJ Joma carefully curates his weekly 'Thru The Looking Glass' radio show; where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of the music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks... all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat. 

Each show excels at their storytelling sets and their carefully crafted, elegant sound, they never fail to submerse the listeners in a beautifully progressive, melodic, organic deep-house trance. Built on years of experience and respected for staying true to his sound, DJ Joma has managed to create a musical-realm of his own. Each weekly show is filled with exquisite melodies and harmonising vocals, equally suited to night time clubbing as they are for sunrise or sunset sets.

Conceptualised, created and proudly presented by Ibiza Design Studio, Hydrated Ibiza is the creation of Maximiliano Guzmán Wilkendorf. After reflecting on his first decade spent on Ibiza, working in the music industry as both a designer and a DJ, Maximiliano was inspired to create a conscious brand that highlights the importance of water through organic house and deep electronic music, with the aim of making the world a better place.

Water is the very essence of life for humans and Mother Earth alike. Without it, we cannot survive; with it, we are united as one. Raising awareness of this sacred element is at the heart of Hydrated Ibiza, where the harmonious connection between their own health and self-sustainable life on the planet is at the forefront of its offerings. After all, water is a right for everyone – not a privilege. Now is a crossroads for great change – the music industry, and the world around it, are ready to evolve. Hydrated Ibiza is a symbol of hope and a pioneer of positivity in a world that needs our help to heal.

HYDRATED RADIO SHOW
Born in Ibiza and streamed across the globe, the Hydrated Ibiza Radio show is hosted by Maximiliano and guests every Thursday from 14h to 15h (CET) on 97.2FM in Ibiza and Formentera and www.pureibizaradio.com around the world. The weekly broadcast gives Maximiliano a platform from which to share his passion for health, hydration, design and music alongside a selection of hand-picked guests and partners whose values are in alignment with the brand. MAXIMILIANO – BIOGRAPHY
Fusing Chilean warmth, German structure and a true Ibiza soul, Maximiliano is a DJ and designer of experiences with a difference. As a child, Maximiliano absorbed many different styles of music at home, thanks to his father’s sincere belief that music should be an essential part of life. From the jazz and classical sounds of his youth to the emotional deep, organic DJ sets he spins in the present, Maximiliano displays a deep affinity with all music. Upon moving to the Mediterranean island of Ibiza in 2005, he kicked off his musical career in hotels, villas, boat parties, clubs and on radio shows, and has since firmly established himself as an in-demand selector and creator of multi-sensory experiences. Hydrated Ibiza is part of the next chapter in his career trajectory.

Organic Grooves #007 - Ghume (Montevideo, Uruguay)

Guzmán Nuñez aka Ghume, born in the city of Mercedes, Soriano, Uruguay. Since he was a child, he was attracted to the electronic sounds that at that time he heard from his older brother Germán.
His first influences were the DJs Fedde Le Grand, Supermode, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Tiesto, among others.

At the age of 14, after being instructed by the Djs Juan Carlos Mañan, Ruben Martinez and his brother, he made his first presentations at parties, discos and radios in his city.

Over time he got to know various sub-genres of House and related artists, feeling extremely identified with the most melodic and hypnotic genres, such as Progressive House, Deep House, Melodic House & Techno. Some of his references are Hernan Cattaneo, Lee Burridge, Kevin Di Serna, Fernanado Ferreyra, among others.

Currently based in Montevideo, it is in full growth. He got his residency at Signal.uy after being part of the brand's filming team and carries out his monthly podcast "Natural Selection", also making presentations at parties in the interior of the country and the capital.

His debut as a producer is through the Serbian label RYNTH, with his EP "La Piedra Mamut"

Adam’s songs have surfaced on fittingly named labels like Magician on Duty, Dream Culture and L’Enfant Terrible, among others. A regular fixture of East Coast festivals (Piknic Electronik, Eclipse, Summerdaze, AIM, Igloofest, Liberty…), his wanderings have also leaded to performances in LA, Paris, Cairo, Istanbul, Vancouver, NY, Burning Man…

For six years, his impact on the Montreal scene has solidified with the growth of Husa Sounds. This electronic music collective and blog is dedicated to curating and nurturing underground artistic experiences, whether intimate local showcases or multidisciplinary raves in abandoned venues - among which a boarding school and a church. Husa Sounds has collaborated with Be-At.TV as well as summoned a steady steam of celestial deep house artists, from Jon Talabot to Miyagi, SuperFlu to Oona Dahl.

Meanwhile, Adam’s diverse sets, conspicuous productions and thumping basslines continue crackling into the night.

Bespoke Musik Radio 134 : Adam Husa

On January 27th we played this set on the cliffs of Uluwatu in Bali for the Cercle event feat. Lee Burridge.    Lee took over from us and played a perfect soundtrack for the sunset.    Zone+ closed the event with his amazing grooves.   It was a magical day! 

We also had live keys/synths for this set and it was recorded live....   So enjoy the imperfections!!!  ;)
