Abinye David Jumbo majorly known as Mr 2Kay signed to Grafton records is currently the new kid in the Afrobeats scene getting all the attention. The Port Harcourt, Nigeria born artist is currently one of the most talked about artists in Nigeria with his unique Afro-pop style.

Following the huge success of the original version of BuBuGaGa, he has moved ahead with a special UK remix of the single featuring UK based Afrobeats songstress May7ven (of “Ten Ten” fame) and young new comer Moelogo, to deliver another special produced by Ozzie of Triple O Productions. The BuBuGaGa UK remix which was initially released on promotion online in August 2013 received 5 Million downloads in 3 days and trended worldwide.

The video of the BuBuGaGa remix single got Mr 2Kay to come into London for the video shoot and the video is expected to be released any moment now.

Best known for her 2008 UK Top 20 hit Heartbeat (also sampled on Rita Ora’s R.I.P) and winner of Best African Act at the MOBO Awards in 2009, Nigerian born singer Nneka releases her latest album, My Fairy Tales 
which focuses on the artist’s roots and Afrobeat side.
Known for speaking her mind in her music, My Fairy Tales tackles subjects as varied as the politics of her Nigerian birthplace through to her own personal voyage of discovery. 
Mixed by James ‘Bonzai’ Caruso (known for his mix of Method Man ft.  Mary J Blige’s ‘You’re All I Need’ and his work with Damian & Stephen Marley), the album’s opening cut, Believe System speaks of the need to connect with your roots. 
On this track Nneka’s highly expressive vocals firmly place her amongst global songstresses like Neneh Cherry, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill and the like. 
Second track Babylon tells of regional plight in West Africa over a Fela-type Afrobeat/highlife groove. Next is the first single from the album My Love with its lilting reggae beat and personable lyrics about positive love. 
Other key tracks on the album include Local Champion, about her hometown of Warri, Nigeria, the optimistic and spiritual Surprise plus the ska influenced Pray For You, in which Nneka speaks of the healing powers of forgiveness.
Bringing the album to a close is Book of Job, with its charismatic chorus vocal and finally In Me - two excellent reggae cuts which clearly exemplify this global artist’s talent pedigree.
My Fairy Tales sees Nneka with a new confidence and maturity in both her song writing and performance. All this from a career that has seen her collaborate with the likes of Massive Attack, Lenny Kravitz, Tricky, Ziggy Marley, and more. 
Nneka toured the States in 2010 alongside Nas and Damian Marley (as Distant Relatives) after an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman earlier that year and has also had singles “Shining Star” and “Heartbeat” remixed by 
Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard and Chase & Status respectively.

80 Empire want you to know they’re aiming for world domination. That’s quite a lofty goal for two brothers who hail from the suburbs of Toronto, Canada but give them a half hour to share their story and suddenly their passion is not only palpable it’s plausible. Ladies and Gentlemen, prepare for new rules.
First. The number “80” in their moniker isn’t a not-so-subtle homage to an 80’s revival in music these days. Their songs are in fact informed by a cross generational pastiche of Pop, R&B and Club music. The “80” is the phonetic of “A-D.” As in Analog/Digital. Clever these brothers, eh? And quite appropriate for Analog/Digital aptly describes their personalities to a proverbial tee. One, is emotional and impulsive favouring antiques and things with age and patina (Analog), while the other is ordered and methodical with a penchant for Star Wars and all things technological (Digital). It’s a unique combination, just like their music.
Meet Adrian and Lucas, the dual rulers of 80 Empire. The pair started making music in their teens -  the creative visionaries behind their garage band in High School. While the other guys on stage were content being poseurs for popularity, the brothers were intent on making their mark as real musicians. Family trips to Miami had yielded suitcases full of the hottest Hip Hop, R&B and Funk which they studied like the blueprint to a secret fortress, plotting their attack with every learned guitar lick or rhyme couplet. “We knew we only had each other” says Adrian. It was apparent that only the brothers were impressed when American actor Forest Whittaker, then riding the success of the Charlie Parker biopic “Bird,” parked himself in the front row of their local festival show. “We took it as a sign to keep going,” shares Lucas. 
In this era of “fast food music,” 80 Empire represents a return to fundamentals for the duo - albeit with a “new school” flair. The four on the floor influence of the funk of their youth combines their musical influences in a modern stew drawing for their love of records from Jamiroquai, Masters at Work, and Nuyorican Soul reaching back further for a dash of Spandau Ballet thrown in for good measure.
Witness the first single, the bright and anthemic “Let’s do it again” – As Adrian describes – it’s like “Let the Rodeo begin – we’re ready to do it again!”

DEETRIX was raised in Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire. From an early age he was classically trained as a vocalist, pianist and cellist and this lead to him touring with a regional orchestra for eight years in his youth. Deetrix later found a passion for dance music during his GCSE years, which led him to begin studying music production at college in Oxford.
Although Deetrix now produces dance music, his classical roots continue to influence his artistry, and feature heavily within his unique writing style. This offers intricate melodies and complex harmonies, combined with influences from a cacophony ranging from Van Morrison to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Noisia to Wolfgang Gartner.
At just 21 years old, Deetrix is already creating a name for himself within the industry. He has worked with established studios in Liverpool and London on both signed and unsigned artists such as Maverick Sabre, Jackie D Williams and Kafymbo. In addition to his production of artists, he has a working relationship with Pitch and Sync, Universal and Liverpool One.
Alongside his production skills, Deetrix is a seasoned DJ within the Merseyside area.  He has worked within well-known clubs Silo and The Magnet, alongside artists such as Stenchman, Tru_Fix and Thunderskank.
Deetrix is currently studying Sound Technology at the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. He is also working on his debut EP, scheduled for release in 2012, which will aim to combine Dubstep sounds alongside some more organic classical elements. In the meantime he is working on an album that will feature remixes of already established and well known tracks.

JACKIE D WILLIAMS distinctive fusion of soul, funk, rhythm and blues combined with phenomenal guitar playing is helping him receive the recognition his talent truly deserves. Jackie’s music consists of many brilliant characteristics exemplified by his childhood musical idols, combining song writing with jazz and blues like the great Stevie Wonder did before him. These characteristics have seen him likened to distinguished artists like such as Smokey Robinson and even Eric Clapton.
At only 21 years old, Jackie is already a seasoned performer recently headlining the Juice FM stage at the Liverpool Hub Festival, the UK's biggest, and best, urban and extreme sports youth festival. He has also opened the Wallingford Blues and Beer Festival, supporting the infamous band “The Animals”, giving him the chance to perform to a crowd of over one thousand; a feat Jackie is intent of bettering. At the tender age of 16, Jack’s performing ability gained him the opportunity to work with producer Mike Hurst through the summer project Rock Masters. During this experience, Jackie was fortunate enough to perform in front of music sensation Cat Stevens, one of Jackie’s and many other’s most admired musical inspirations.
Oxford bred Singer/Songwriter Jackie has just graduated from the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and is currently working on his debut album material with renowned producer Jarrad ‘Jaz’ Rogers. Jackie has worked with well-established studios such as Parr Street in Liverpool; Earth Terminal studios with Mike Hurst and Island Records affiliate label Mi7 Records in London. He is looking to continue his musical journey through experimenting with new and adventurous sounds, as well as distinctive takes on classics.

For more than fifteen years, the name Jedi Mind Tricks has become synonymous with raw, gritty underground hip-hop.  From their debut album, The Psycho-social, in 1996 to their seminal sophomore release, Violent By Design, to their musical expansion heard on Servants and Heaven, Kings in Hell, JMT has made an indelible impression on the independent music scene (with over 400K units sold) while arguably forging its own subgenre of rap.  Led by the fiery vocals of controversial front man, Vinnie Paz (who also released a critically acclaimed solo-LP, Season Of The Assassin in 2010 which featured the underground smash “Street Wars” f/Clipse & Block McCloud and also guest appearances from Paul Wall, Freeway and Beanie Sigel), and his venerable rhyme partner, Jus Allah, the group has built one of the most critically-acclaimed and commercially-successful careers in independent music.

Though JMT rarely appears on Billboard charts, their success is most accurately measured in the passion and respect of their growing legions of hardcore fans who have packed JMT shows around the world from Boston to Bogota to Bucharest.  JMT’s music is defiant and their longevity is a testament to their blue-collar work ethic; born from the bloodlines of their hometown, Philadelphia, PA.    

On October 25, 2011, JMT is set to drop its seventh studio album, “Violence Begets Violence”, through Vinnie Paz’s own imprint, Enemy Soil.  Though JMT fans can expect more of the uncompromising, unrelenting brand of hardcore rap music that has become the group’s signature sound, “Violence Begets Violence,” marks a change (something the group has undeniably become accustomed to over the years) as long-time JMT producer, Stoupe, hands over production duties to a new wave of talented producers honed in on the JMT sound; but set on creating a fresh take on a classic formula.

Stoupe’s non-participation on “Violence Begets Violence” is addressed by Vinnie Paz “by now you have heard that this is the first Jedi Mind Tricks album we've made without Stoupe handling the production. Bottom line is at some point after making our last album, "A History of Violence," Stoupe lost his passion for making hip-hop and wanted to try new things.  Through our career, we've always waited on him to get inspired to make a new album, but this time around we got tired of waiting out his creative drought.  He tried to produce some things for this new album, but we could tell early on that his heart wasn't in making JMT records anymore.  He's moved on as a producer to work in other genres with his side-projects, Dutch and Vespertina, and we've moved on with a new crop of talented producers to make the hardcore hip-hop we’ve always been known for. 
We're reinvigorated and we feel like these younger, hungrier kids put a battery in our back.  Our fans deserve the best music we can make.  Stoupe made great albums with us, but he's moved in a different direction as a producer, so we decided this was the best move for us to make sure we give you guys the best music we can. Regardless, Jus and I feel like we made a great record.  I've made plenty of other albums with other producers.  You guys know AOTP.  You know my solo shit.  Some of you even said that my solo album was the best work I've done to date, including all of the JMT albums.  Don't worry, that classic hardcore JMT shit is coming on October 25th.  Just trust me.  I've never let you down in 15 years.  Give us the benefit of the doubt and listen with an open mind! The music business is crazy right now.
Most artists disappear after one album or one single. We've been fortunate to have a 15-year run, which could've never happened without our fans!  The last thing we want to do is to try to pull the wool over your eyes, so we wanted to let you know upfront about Stoupe, but also let you know that we're still Jedi Mind Tricks. Arkarna, you say? Who?? Well, they're the biggest dance-guitar band you might have never heard of. The band first emerged in 1997 with the critically-acclaimed, platinum selling debut album Fresh Meat, which spawned four singles and chart success not just in the UK but also internationally.
Warp forward and the original band line up has changed and streamlined and now consists of Ollie J, founding member, singer and precocious engineering prodigy who cut his teeth working with the likes of Leftfield (mixing their seminal album Leftism), The Prodigy and Madonna, who is joined by classically trained Goldsmith University graduate, guitarist and songwriter Matt Hart. Another change is that the Warner’s label situation they had is no longer and the band are flexing their independent arm and will be releasing material under their own steam. 
For the past three years, the pair have hunkered down in their North West London studio testing out new material and now, they've fine-tuned a bag of storming compositions which will be sewn together to make up the brand new album due to be unleashed to the unsuspecting public in 2012. 
The first taster from the album is the synth driven pulsing monster that is 'Left Is Best'. The track encapsulates the new Arkarna energy and sets out their stall with full effect. The offering comes with a package of remixes to please and delight - with credits going to the trendsetter DJ favourites So Called Scumbags, dubstep man-of-the-moment Rednek as well as a beating up from Arkarna themselves. Mancunian trio Platnum are set to become your favourite new pop group with their insanely infectious new single ‘Love You Tomorrow’ due for release on 14th April ahead of their debut album ‘Lost In The Music’ out this summer. 
The former figureheads of the UK Bassline scene, Platnum, which comprise of Aaron Evers (27) Michelle McKenna (28) and Mina Poli (26), have been together since the early noughties after meeting at a talent show. The group went on to achieve considerable success with underground smash ‘Over The Heartache’ then followed by two chart hits ‘What’s It Gonna B’ (feat. H “Two” O) and ‘Love Shy (Thinking About You)’ which charted at top5 and top20 respectively and a nationwide tour with N Dubz which garnered them a cult following. 
Fast forward to May 2010 and Michelle – the bands livewire – was on a night out on the town in Manchester, with demos of Platnum’s debut album-in-the making firmly in hand. She gave one demo to a certain Will.I.Am, and later that evening played another to Black Eyed Peas DJ and producer DJ Poet while sat in a car outside a party at their hotel. Poet was sold. Beats were passed back and forth between band and producer in the months that followed before they were able to work together in person. Now, after numerous studio sessions with Poet working on perfecting the Platnum sound – a unique brand of energetic, soulful dance pop, the band have just put the finishing touches to their debut album which promises to not disappoint. 
Produced by EFX (Esmee Denters, Smiler, L Marshall), ‘Love You Tomorrow’ combines anthemic ‘hands in the air’ production with an infectious hook, to deliver all the hallmarks of an undeniable hit that is sure to not only sit comfortably on radio but no doubt also become a common request on dance floors across the country.
