@leonardo-crespi: "well.. i'm currently living in glasgow doing my dissertation for my masters in finance. i'm still buying records even if i don't have any turntables here! i recorded this mix during my easter vacation in italy, where i have all my records. i'm part of a collective based in varese called yay. we started organising parties locally and then we expanded in milan, rome, verona but also in europe (berlin, barcelona, strasbourg, lugano). in 2015 we opened our own record label (yay recordings) and we are now releasing our tenth record. i love music and i love playing as deejay, even in small parties. it's not my job, but it's one of the things i like to do the most."

Couldn't have imagined someone better to start off the new EstimuloShow Guest Mix series than the mystery man behind the UK's Spillway label, Kellon.

He's had a string of releases that just kept wowing us over the last two years, the first four going under his own Kellon project and the fifth that just came out recently opening up to other producers while keeping the typical Spillway profound techno vibe.
It's the same kind of soulful and personal tone that pervades his guest mix contribution, fusing classics and lesser know gems of (mostly 90s) deep house and detroit techno.

"I have been a collector since 1986 and with almost 20,000 records it is always a challenge to find the right records for a good mix.
I love the sound of the years 1990 to 1992 a lot, maybe because then I started to produce my first songs and I was very obsessed with that particular and so hot sound, especially the songs that are made with those Japanese machines from Roland, Yamaha and Korg .
With this podcast I wanted to take you on a journey through that time, which influenced me a lot as a DJ and producer and which is still a source of ideas for my work.

Nick Gynn has been a part of the London scene for over a decade, having moved to East London from his home county of Devon. His passion for sound was cultivated at an early age; sneaking into clubs and raves around the South West was the first indicator, and shortly afterwards Nick had his first set of decks, at the age of seventeen. 
The move to London brought him closer to the underground scene where he frequently attended nights at legendary clubs The End, fabric, Tea Bar
and Public Life alongside the growing warehouse scene of the time around East and North London.
Having watched his area transform, the musical landscape around the city has changed wildly too.
Nick’s taste is wide-ranging, and he has built up an extensive cross-format library throughout the years. Taking listeners and dancers through from house, garage, electro, techno and breaks to rare disco, afrobeat and Balearic, he is not afraid to draw on more left field and spacey,ravey sounds along the
way.
He lists his extremely varied influences as being everyone from masters like Juan Atkins, Larry Heard and Ricardo Villalobos to Craig Richards, Francesco Del Garda and some classic Garage artists like Groove Chronicles and Mystic Matt & Anthill Mob.
A regular at festivals from Glastonbury to Gottwood and clubs from London to Ibiza, N GYNN has picked up acclaim more recently for his time in the recording studio, having just brought out the first release on Bobby.’s Pleasure Club which has received stellar reviews already.
